1А Вилдад Сушанин одговори и рече:
1Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said:
2Власт је и страх у Њега, чини мир на висинама својим.
2Dominion and fear are with Him; He maketh peace in His high places.
3Војскама Његовим има ли броја? И кога не обасјава видело Његово?
3Is there any number of His armies? And upon whom doth not His light arise?
4И како ће човек бити праведан пред Богом? И како ће чист бити рођени од жене?
4How then can man be just with God? Or how can he be clean that is born of a woman?
5Гле, ни месец не би сјао, ни звезде не би биле чисте пред Њим,
5Behold, even the moon hath no brightness, and the stars are not pure in His sight;
6А камоли човек, црв, и син човечји, мољац.
6How much less man, that is a worm! and the son of man, that is a maggot!
