1پس بلدد شوحی در جواب گفت:
1Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said:
2«سلطنت و هیبت از آن اوست وسلامتی را در مکان های بلند خود ایجاد می‌کند.
2Dominion and fear are with Him; He maketh peace in His high places.
3آیا افواج او شمرده می‌شود و کیست که نور اوبر وی طلوع نمی کند؟
3Is there any number of His armies? And upon whom doth not His light arise?
4پس انسان چگونه نزد خدا عادل شمرده شود؟ و کسی‌که از زن زاییده شود، چگونه پاک باشد؟
4How then can man be just with God? Or how can he be clean that is born of a woman?
5اینک ماه نیز روشنایی ندارد و ستارگان در نظر او پاک نیستند.
5Behold, even the moon hath no brightness, and the stars are not pure in His sight;
6پس چندمرتبه زیاده انسان که مثل خزنده زمین و بنی آدم که مثل کرم می‌باشد.»
6How much less man, that is a worm! and the son of man, that is a maggot!
