1Aw Sithaw, nang loe ka Sithaw ah na oh; nang to kang pakrong han; tui om ai praezaek ah, ka pakhra mah nang hae tui ah anghaeh moe, ka taksa mah nang to poek.
1Unto the end, a psalm for David.
2Na thacakhaih hoi na lensawkhaih to hnuk hanah, hmuenciim ah nang kang pakrong moe, kang hnuk boeh.
2Hear, O God, my prayer, when I make supplication to thee: deliver my soul from the fear of the enemy.
3Nang tahmenhaih loe hinghaih pongah hoih kue baktih toengah, pahni hoiah nang kang pakoeh han.
3Thou hast protected me from the assembly of the malignant; from the multitude of the workers of iniquity.
4Ka hing thung tahamhoihaih kang paek han, na hmin hoiah ban ka payangh han.
4For they have whetted their tongues like a sword; they have bent their bow a bitter thing,
5Tangkhring hoi kathawk moi baktiah, ka hinghaih mah zok amhah tih, ka pahni mah anghoehaih laa to sah ueloe, ka pakha mah nang to pakoeh tih.
5To shoot in secret the undefiled.
6Ka iihkhun hoi nang to kang panoek poe moe, aqum puek nang to kang poek han.
6They will shoot at him on a sudden, and will not fear: they are resolute in wickedness. They have talked of hiding snares; they have said: Who shall see them?
7Nang loe kai bomkung ah na oh pongah, na pakhraeh tahlip ah kang hoe han.
7They have searched after iniquities: they have failed in their search. Man shall come to a deep heart:
8Ka hinghaih loe nang khaeah ni amha, na bantang ban hoiah nang patawnh.
8And God shall be exalted. The arrows of children are their wounds:
9Ka pakhra paro han pakrong kaminawk loe, longkhaw thungah caeh o tih.
9And their tongues against them are made weak. All that saw them were troubled;
10Nihcae loe sumsen hoi amtimh o ueloe, tasuinawk ih rawkcak ah angcoeng o tih.
10And every man was afraid. And they declared the works of God: and understood his doings.
11Toe siangpahrang loe Sithaw ah anghoe tih; anih hoi lokkamhaih sah kaminawk loe lensawk o tih; toe amsawnlok thui kaminawk ih pakha loe tamuep pae khoep tih.
11The just shall rejoice in the Lord, and shall hope in him: and all the upright in heart shall be praised.
