Diodati Bibbia 1885
1I have loved, because the Lord will hear the voice of my prayer.
1QUANDO Israele uscì di Egitto, E la casa di Giacobbe d'infra il popolo barbaro;
2Because he hath inclined his ear unto me: and in my days I will call upon him.
2Giuda fu consacrato al Signore, Israele divenne suo dominio.
3The sorrows of death have encompassed me: and the perils of hell have found me. I met with trouble and sorrow:
3Il mare lo vide, e fuggì; Il Giordano si rivolse a ritroso.
4And I called upon the name of the Lord. O Lord, deliver my soul.
4I monti saltarono come montoni, I colli come agnelli.
5The Lord is merciful and just, and our God sheweth mercy.
5Che avesti, o mare, che tu fuggisti? E tu , Giordano, che ti rivolgesti a ritroso?
6The Lord is the keeper of little ones: I was little and he delivered me.
6E voi , monti, che saltaste come montoni; E voi , colli, come agnelli?
7Turn, O my soul, into thy rest: for the Lord hath been bountiful to thee.
7Trema, o terra, per la presenza del Signore; Per la presenza dell'Iddio di Giacobbe;
8For he hath delivered my soul from death: my eyes from tears, my feet from falling.
8Il quale mutò la roccia in guazzo d'acqua, Il macigno in fonte d'acqua.
9I will please the Lord in the land of the living.
