1Praise ye the Lord, because psalm is good: to our God be joyful and comely praise.
1ALLELUIA. Anima mia, loda il Signore.
2The Lord buildeth up Jerusalem: he will gather together the dispersed of Israel.
2Io loderò il Signore, mentre viverò; Io salmeggerò al mio Dio, mentre durerò.
3Who healeth the broken of heart, and bindeth up their bruises.
3Non vi confidate in principi, Nè in alcun figliuol d'uomo, che non ha modo di salvare.
4Who telleth the number of the stars: and calleth them all by their names.
4Il suo fiato uscirà, ed egli se ne ritornerà nella sua terra; In quel dì periranno i suoi disegni.
5Great is our Lord, and great is his power: and of his wisdom there is no number.
5Beato colui che ha l'Iddio di Giacobbe in suo aiuto, La cui speranza è nel Signore Iddio suo
6The Lord lifteth up the meek, and bringeth the wicked down even to the ground.
6Il quale ha fatto il cielo e la terra, Il mare, e tutto ciò ch' è in essi; Che osserva la fede in eterno;
7Sing ye to the Lord with praise: sing to our God upon the harp.
7Il qual fa ragione agli oppressati; E dà del cibo agli affamati. Il Signore scioglie i prigioni.
8Who covereth the heaven with clouds, and prepareth rain for the earth. Who maketh grass to grow on the mountains, and herbs for the service of men.
8Il Signore apre gli occhi a' ciechi; Il Signore rileva quelli che son chinati; Il Signore ama i giusti.
9Who giveth to beasts their food: and to the young ravens that call upon him.
9Il Signore guarda i forestieri; Egli solleva l'orfano e la vedova; E sovverte la via degli empi.
10He shall not delight in the strength of the horse: nor take pleasure in the legs of a man.
10Il Signore regna in eterno, E il tuo Dio, o Sion, per ogni età. Alleluia.
11The Lord taketh pleasure in them that fear him: and in them that hope in his mercy.
