Diodati Bibbia 1885
1Unto the end, destroy not, for David, for an inscription of a title.
1ABBI pietà di me, o Dio; abbi pietà di me; Perciocchè l'anima mia si confida in te, Ed io ho la mia speranza nell'ombra delle tue ale, Finchè sieno passate le calamità.
2If in very deed you speak justice: judge right things, ye sons of men.
2Io griderò all'Iddio altissimo; A Dio che dà compimento a' fatti miei.
3For in your heart you work iniquity: your hands forge injustice in the earth.
3Egli manderà dal cielo a salvarmi; Egli renderà confuso colui ch'è dietro a me a gola aperta. (Sela.) Iddio manderà la sua benignità, e la sua verità.
4The wicked are alienated from the womb; they have gone astray from the womb: they have spoken false things.
4L'anima mia è in mezzo a' leoni; Io giaccio fra uomini incendiari, I cui denti son lance, e saette, E la cui lingua è spada acuta.
5Their madness is according to the likeness of a serpent: like the deaf asp that stoppeth her ears:
5Innalzati, o Dio, sopra i cieli; Innalzisi la tua gloria sopra tutta la terra.
6Which will not hear the voice of the charmers; nor of the wizard that charmeth wisely.
6Essi avevano apparecchiata una rete a' miei passi, Già tiravano a basso l'anima mia; Avevano cavata una fossa davanti a me; Ma essi vi sono caduti dentro. (Sela.)
7God shall break in pieces their teeth in their mouth: the Lord shall break the grinders of the lions.
7Il mio cuore è disposto, o Dio; il mio cuore è disposto; Io canterò, e salmeggerò.
8They shall come to nothing, like water running down; he hath bent his bow till they be weakened.
8Gloria mia, destati; destati, saltero, e cetera; Io mi risveglierò all'alba.
9Like wax that melteth they shall be taken away: fire hath fallen on them, and they shall not see the sun.
9Io ti celebrerò, o Signore, fra i popoli; Io ti salmeggerò fra le nazioni;
10Before your thorns could know the brier; he swalloweth them up, as alive, in his wrath.
10Perciocchè la tua benignità è grande infino al cielo, E la tua verità infino alle nuvole.
11The just shall rejoice when he shall see the revenge: he shall wash his hands in the blood of the sinner.
11Innalzati, o Dio, sopra i cieli; Innalzisi la tua gloria sopra tutta la terra.
12And man shall say: If indeed there be fruit to the just: there is indeed a God that judgeth them on the earth.
