Kadede Kap (Pohnpeian New Testament and Psalms)
JPS Tanakh (Jewish Publication Society, 1917)
1MAI N Kot, me i kin kapikapi n a, kom der kotin japaimokid!
1For the Leader. A Psalm of David. O God of my praise, keep not silence;
2Pwe au en me doo ja n Kot, o me kin kotaue jara do n ia, re lokelokaia o n ia ki lo likam.
2For the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of deceit have they opened against me; they have spoken unto me with a lying tongue.
3Re lokaia jued o n ia waja karoj, o pei o n ia ni jo karepa
3They compassed me about also with words of hatred, and fought against me without a cause.
4Ni ai pok o n ir, re kin imwintiti o n ia; a n ai kin poten kapakap.
4In return for my love they are my adversaries; but I am all prayer.
5Irail depukki ai me mau me jued, o re kin tata kin ia ni ai pok o n ir.
5And they have laid upon me evil for good, and hatred for my love:
6Kotin kajapwilada n i me doo ja n Kot amen, pwen a jaunkapu n o me palian I, en mi ni pali maun a.
6'Set Thou a wicked man over him; and let an adversary stand at his right hand.
7Ma a pan pakajau, a pan pakadeikada, pil a kapakap en kadipala i.
7When he is judged, let him go forth condemned; and let his prayer be turned into sin.
8A ran akan en malaulaula, o a koa en ko o n amen.
8Let his days be few; let another take his charge.
9Na jeri kan en japoupou, o a paud en li odi amen.
9Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow.
10Na jeri kan en janjarwaru jili o wia poekipoek, o re rapaki kan ar ma n a, doo ja n nan moan im arail.
10Let his children be vagabonds, and beg; and let them seek their bread out of their desolate places.
11Me norok moni en pitia ja n i a meakoaroj, o men wai en kulia ja n i a dipijou kan.
11Let the creditor distrain all that he hath; and let strangers make spoil of his labour.
12O jota me pan kadek o n i, o jota me pan jauja na japoupou kan.
12Let there be none to extend kindness unto him; neither let there be any to be gracious unto his fatherless children.
13Kadaudok a en kokoka ja n ; o mar arail en niki ja n nin di kaieu.
13Let his posterity be cut off; in the generation following let their name be blotted out.
14Japu n en jam a ko en janjal mon Ieowa, o dip en in a ender lapwada.
14Let the iniquity of his fathers be brought to remembrance unto the LORD; and let not the sin of his mother be blotted out.
15Ieowa en kotin majamajan irail ajau karoj, o kataman parail en niki ja n in jappa.
15Let them be before the LORD continually, that He may cut off the memory of them from the earth.
16Pweki a jota man kadek, pwe a pakipaki me luet o jamama, o me injenjued, pwen kamela i.
16Because that he remembered not to do kindness, but persecuted the poor and needy man, and the broken in heart he was ready to slay.
17O a ino n io n en riala; ari en lel o n ! O a jota injenoki kapai, ari, en doo ja n i!
17Yea, he loved cursing, and it came unto him; and he delighted not in blessing, and it is far from him.
18A kapwateki me jued duata a likau, ari me jued en kolon lole dueta pil o nan kokon akan dueta le.
18He clothed himself also with cursing as with his raiment, and it is come into his inward parts like water, and like oil into his bones.
19Me jued en rajo n a likau pup, me a kin likauwiada, o rajo n men pirapir me a kin pirapireki.
19Let it be unto him as the garment which he putteth on, and for the girdle wherewith he is girded continually.'
20Iduen Ieowa pan kotin pwain on me palian ia, o me kin lokaia jued duen n ai.
20This would mine adversaries effect from the LORD, and they that speak evil against my soul.
21A komui, Mai n Ieowa ai Kot kotin wiawia ia, pweki mar omui; pwe omui kala n an kajampwal, dore ia la!
21But Thou, O GOD the Lord, deal with me for Thy name's sake; because Thy mercy is good, deliver Thou me.
22Pwe n ai me luet o jamama, o nan mo n io n i olar.
22For I am poor and needy, and my heart is wounded within me.
23I kin tanwei dueta mota, o i pan kamajak wei dueta manjiek amen.
23I am gone like the shadow when it lengtheneth; I am shaken off as the locust.
24Na i kat luete kilar kaijejol, o uduk ai tikitikilar;
24My knees totter through fasting; and my flesh is lean, and hath no fatness.
25O i wialar men lalaue re ’rail; ni ar kila n ia, re kin due duailok!
25I am become also a taunt unto them; when they see me, they shake their head.
26Mai n Ieowa, ai Kot, kom kotin dore ia la duen omui kala n an!
26Help me, O LORD my God; O save me according to Thy mercy;
27Pwe ren aja, mepukat tapi ja n ni lim omui, me komui Ieowa kotin wiadar mepukat.
27That they may know that this is Thy hand; that Thou, LORD, hast done it.
28Menda, ma re lalaue, kom kotin kapai ia da. Ma re palian ia, ren namenokala, pwe japwilim omui ladu en pereperen.
28Let them curse, but bless Thou; when they arise, they shall be put to shame, but Thy servant shall rejoice.
29Re kotin wiai o n ai imwintiti, ren likau kida namenok, o ren purio n nan me jued dueta likau pup.
29Mine adversaries shall be clothed with confusion, and shall put on their own shame as a robe.
30I pan danke Ieowa melel ni au ai, o i pan kapi n a i nan pu n en me toto.
30I will give great thanks unto the LORD with my mouth; yea, I will praise Him among the multitude;
31Pwe a kotikot ni pali maun en me jamama, pwen dorela i ja n ir, me kadeikada i, en kamela.
31Because He standeth at the right hand of the needy, to save him from them that judge his soul.
