JPS Tanakh (Jewish Publication Society, 1917)
1MAI N leowa, i kin likwir wo n komui, kom kotin mada n do n ia; kom kotin ereki n il ai, ni ai pan likwir wo n komui.
1A Psalm of David. LORD, I have called Thee; make haste unto me; give ear unto my voice, when I call unto Thee.
2Kom kotin kajampwaleki ai kapakap dueta mairo n ijij; o pokadan pa i kat dueta mairo n eu ni jautik.
2Let my prayer be set forth as incense before Thee, the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.
3Mai n Ieowa, kom kotin jinjile au ai, o pera kil en au.
3Set a guard, O LORD, to my mouth; keep watch at the door of my lips.
4O der kotin kaino n o n me jued kot mo n io n i, pwe i ender ia n me doo ja n Kol, akan wiada me jued, o i ender ia n ir ka n ka n , me re kin iauki.
4Incline not my heart to any evil thing, to be occupied in deeds of wickedness with men that work iniquity; and let me not eat of their dainties.
5Me pu n amen en kame ia ni a kadek, o kapu n ia, pwe iei me pan mau o n ia dueta le o n mon ai, mepukat i jota pan ka n , o i kin kapakap anjau karoj, pwe ren der wiai o n ia me jued.
5Let the righteous smite me in kindness, and correct me; oil so choice let not my head refuse; for still is my prayer because of their wickedness.
6Kalua parail en pijikendi ja n pon paip; irail ap pan duki o n ai padak o aja, me ir me mau.
6Their judges are thrown down by the sides of the rock; and they shall hear my words, that they are sweet.
7Duen amen pan wera paja n jap, iduen ti ’t akan, melokidokila ni kailan wajan mela.
7As when one cleaveth and breaketh up the earth, our bones are scattered at the grave's mouth.
8Ari jo, maj ai kin ariri komui, Mai n ai Kot, i liki komui, kom der kotin kajapokela maur i.
8For mine eyes are unto Thee, O GOD the Lord; in Thee have I taken refuge, O pour not out my soul.
9Pera wei ja n ia injar, me re kaonop o n ia, o jo n en men kol ia di ren me morjued akan.
9Keep me from the snare which they have laid for me, and from the gins of the workers of iniquity.
10Me doo ja n Kot akan en pein lodi o n arail injar, a n ai en dauli.
10Let the wicked fall into their own nets, whilst I withal escape.
