1Halleluja! Lobet im Himmel den HERRN; lobet ihn in der Höhe!
1Praise ye the Lord from the heavens: praise ye him in the high places.
2Lobet ihn, alle seine Engel; lobet ihn, all sein Heer!
2Praise ye him, all his angels: praise ye him, all his hosts.
3Lobet ihn, Sonne und Mond; lobet ihn, alle leuchtenden Sterne!
3Praise ye him, O sun and moon: praise him, all ye stars and light.
4Lobet ihn, ihr Himmel allenthalben und die Wasser, die oben am Himmel sind!
4Praise him, ye heavens of heavens: and let all the waters that are above the heavens
5Die sollen loben den Namen des HERRN; denn er gebot, da wurden sie geschaffen.
5Praise the name of the Lord. For he spoke, and they were made: he commanded, and they were created.
6Er hält sie immer und ewiglich; er ordnet sie, daß sie nicht anders gehen dürfen.
6He hath established them for ever, and for ages of ages: he hath made a decree, and it shall not pass away.
7Lobet den HERRN auf Erden, ihr Walfische und alle Tiefen;
7Praise the Lord from the earth, ye dragons, and all ye deeps:
8Feuer, Hagel, Schnee und Dampf, Strumwinde, die sein Wort ausrichten;
8Fire, hail, snow, ice, stormy winds which fulfill his word:
9Berge und alle Hügel, fruchtbare Bäume und alle Zedern;
9Mountains and all hills, fruitful trees and all cedars:
10Tiere und alles Vieh, Gewürm und Vögel;
10Beasts and all cattle: serpents and feathered fowls:
11ihr Könige auf Erden und alle Völker, Fürsten und alle Richter auf Erden;
11Kings of the earth and all people: princes and all judges of the earth:
12Jünglinge und Jungfrauen, Alte mit den Jungen!
12Young men and maidens: let the old with the younger, praise the name of the Lord:
13Die sollen loben den Namen des HERRN; denn sein Name allein ist hoch, sein Lob geht, soweit Himmel und Erde ist.
13For his name alone is exalted.
14Und erhöht das Horn seines Volkes. Alle Heiligen sollen loben, die Kinder Israel, das Volk, das ihm dient. Halleluja!
14The praise of him is above heaven and earth: and he hath exalted the horn of his people. A hymn to all his saints: to the children of Israel, a people approaching to him. Alleluia.
