1ای خداوند برای داود به یاد آور، همه مذلتهای او را.

1O LORD, remember on behalf of David all the hardships he endured,

2چگونه برای خداوند قسم خورد و برای قادر مطلق یعقوب نذر نمود

2how he swore an oath to the LORD, and vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob:

3که به خیمه خانه خود هرگز داخل نخواهم شد، و بر بستر تختخواب خود برنخواهم آمد.

3“I will not enter my house or get into my bed,

4خواب به چشمان خود نخواهم داد و نه پینکی به مژگان خویش،

4I will not give sleep to my eyes or slumber to my eyelids,

5تا مکانی برای خداوندپیدا کنم و مسکنی برای قادر مطلق یعقوب.

5until I find a place for the LORD, a dwelling for the Mighty One of Jacob.”

6اینک ذکر آن را در افراته شنیدیم و آن را درصحرای یعاریم یافتیم.

6We heard that the ark was in Ephrathah; we found it in the fields of Jaar.

7به مسکن های او داخل شویم و نزد قدمگاه وی پرستش نماییم.

7Let us go to His dwelling place; let us worship at His footstool.

8‌ای خداوند به آرامگاه خود برخیز و بیا، تو و تابوت قوت تو.

8Arise, O LORD, to Your resting place, You and the ark of Your strength.

9کاهنان تو به عدالت ملبس شوند ومقدسانت ترنم نمایند.

9May Your priests be clothed with righteousness, and Your saints shout for joy.

10به‌خاطر بنده خودداود، روی مسیح خود را برمگردان.

10For the sake of Your servant David, do not reject Your anointed one.

11خداوند برای داود به راستی قسم خورد و از آن برنخواهدگشت که «از ثمره صلب تو بر تخت تو خواهم گذاشت.

11The LORD swore an oath to David, a promise He will not revoke: “One of your descendants I will place on your throne.

12اگر پسران تو عهد مرا نگاه دارند وشهادتم را که بدیشان می‌آموزم، پسران ایشان نیزبر کرسی تو تا به ابد خواهند نشست.»

12If your sons keep My covenant and the testimony I will teach them, then their sons will also sit on your throne forever and ever.”

13زیرا که خداوند صهیون را برگزیده است وآن را برای مسکن خویش مرغوب فرموده.

13For the LORD has chosen Zion; He has desired it for His home:

14«این است آرامگاه من تا ابدالاباد. اینجا ساکن خواهم بود زیرا در این رغبت دارم.

14“This is My resting place forever and ever; here I will dwell, for I have desired this home.

15آذوقه آن را هرآینه برکت خواهم داد و فقیرانش را به نان سیر خواهم ساخت،

15I will bless her with abundant provisions; I will satisfy her poor with bread.

16و کاهنانش را به نجات ملبس خواهم ساخت و مقدسانش هرآینه ترنم خواهند نمود.

16I will clothe her priests with salvation, and her saints will sing out in joy.

17در آنجا شاخ داود را خواهم رویانید و چراغی برای مسیح خود آماده خواهم ساخت.

17There I will make a horn grow for David; I have prepared a lamp for My anointed one.

18دشمنان او را به خجالت ملبس خواهم ساخت و تاج او بر وی شکوفه خواهدآورد.»

18I will clothe his enemies with shame, but the crown upon him will gleam.”
