1بر خداوند توکل می‌دارم. چرا به‌جانم می گویید: «مثل مرغ به کوه خودبگریزید.
1In the LORD I take refuge. How then can you say to me: “Flee like a bird to your mountain!
2زیرا اینک شریران کمان را می‌کشند وتیر را به زه نهاده‌اند، تا بر راست دلان در تاریکی بیندازند.
2For behold, the wicked bend their bows. They set their arrow on the string to shoot from the shadows at the upright in heart.
3زیرا که ارکان منهدم می‌شوند و مردعادل چه کند؟»
3If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?”
4خداوند در هیکل قدس خود است و کرسی خداوند در آسمان. چشمان او می‌نگرد، پلکهای وی بنی آدم را می‌آزماید.
4The LORD is in His holy temple; the LORD is on His heavenly throne. His eyes are watching closely; they examine the sons of men.
5خداوند مرد عادل راامتحان می‌کند؛ و اما از شریر و ظلم دوست، جان او نفرت می‌دارد.
5The LORD tests the righteous and the wicked; His soul hates the lover of violence.
6بر شریر دامها و آتش وکبریت خواهد بارانید، و باد سموم حصه پیاله ایشان خواهد بود.
6On the wicked He will rain down fiery coals and sulfur; a scorching wind will be their portion.
7زیرا خداوند عادل است وعدالت را دوست می‌دارد، و راستان روی او راخواهند دید.
7For the LORD is righteous; He loves justice. The upright will see His face.
