Psalmorum 11

Clementine Vulgate, 1598
Berean Standard Bible
1In finem, pro octava. Psalmus David.
1In the LORD I take refuge. How then can you say to me: “Flee like a bird to your mountain!
2[Salvum me fac, Domine, quoniam defecit sanctus, quoniam diminutæ sunt veritates a filiis hominum.
2For behold, the wicked bend their bows. They set their arrow on the string to shoot from the shadows at the upright in heart.
3Vana locuti sunt unusquisque ad proximum suum; labia dolosa, in corde et corde locuti sunt.
3If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?”
4Disperdat Dominus universa labia dolosa, et linguam magniloquam.
4The LORD is in His holy temple; the LORD is on His heavenly throne. His eyes are watching closely; they examine the sons of men.
5Qui dixerunt: Linguam nostram magnificabimus; labia nostra a nobis sunt. Quis noster dominus est?
5The LORD tests the righteous and the wicked; His soul hates the lover of violence.
6Propter miseriam inopum, et gemitum pauperum, nunc exsurgam, dicit Dominus. Ponam in salutari; fiducialiter agam in eo.
6On the wicked He will rain down fiery coals and sulfur; a scorching wind will be their portion.
7Eloquia Domini, eloquia casta; argentum igne examinatum, probatum terræ, purgatum septuplum.
7For the LORD is righteous; He loves justice. The upright will see His face.
8Tu, Domine, servabis nos, et custodies nos a generatione hac in æternum.
