1تو را حمد می‌گوییم! ای خدا تو راحمد می‌گوییم! زیرا نام تو نزدیک است و مردم کارهای عجیب تو را ذکر می‌کنند.
1We give thanks to You, O God; we give thanks, for Your Name is near. The people declare Your wondrous works.
2هنگامی که به زمان معین برسم براستی داوری خواهم کرد.
2“When I choose a time, I will judge fairly.
3زمین و جمیع ساکنانش گداخته شده‌اند. من ارکان آن را برقرار نموده‌ام، سلاه.
3When the earth and all its dwellers quake, it is I who bear up its pillars. Selah
4متکبران را گفتم: «فخر مکنید!» و به شریران که «شاخ خود را میفرازید.
4I say to the proud, ‘Do not boast,’ and to the wicked, ‘Do not lift up your horn.
5شاخهای خود را به بلندی میفرازید. و با گردن کشی سخنان تکبرآمیز مگویید.»
5Do not lift up your horn against heaven or speak with an outstretched neck.’”
6زیرا نه از مشرق و نه از مغرب، و نه ازجنوب سرافرازی می‌آید.
6For exaltation comes neither from east nor west, nor out of the desert,
7لیکن خدا، داور است. این را به زیر می‌اندازدو آن را سرافراز می‌نماید.
7but it is God who judges; He brings down one and exalts another.
8زیرا در دست خداوند کاسه‌ای است و باده آن پرجوش. ازشراب ممزوج پر است که از آن می‌ریزد. و امادردهایش را جمیع شریران جهان افشرده، خواهند نوشید.
8For a cup is in the hand of the LORD, full of foaming wine mixed with spices. He pours from His cup, and all the wicked of the earth drink it down to the dregs.
9و اما من، تا به ابد ذکر خواهم کرد و برای خدای یعقوب ترنم خواهم نمود.
9But I will proclaim Him forever; I will sing praise to the God of Jacob.
10جمیع شاخهای شریران را خواهم برید و اماشاخهای صالحین برافراشته خواهد شد.
10“All the horns of the wicked I will cut off, but the horns of the righteous will be exalted.”
