1พวกเขาข่มเหงฉันมาหลายครั้งตั้งแต่วัยเยาว์ ให้อิสราเอลกล่าวเถิดว่า
1Out of the depths I have cried to thee, O Lord:
2พวกเขาข่มเหงฉันมาหลายครั้งตั้งแต่วัยเยาว์ แต่ไม่เคยเอาชนะฉันได้
2Lord, hear my voice. Let thy ears be attentive to the voice of my supplication.
3คนไถก็ไถบนหลังฉัน ลากรอยไถยาวเหยียด
3If thou, O Lord, wilt mark iniquities: Lord, who shall stand it.
4พระยาห์เวห์ทรงชอบธรรม พระองค์ทรงตัดเชือกของคนชั่วขาด
4For with thee there is merciful forgiveness: and by reason of thy law, I have waited for thee, O Lord. My soul hath relied on his word:
5ขอให้ทุกคนที่เกลียดศิโยน ต้องอับอายและถอยกลับ
5My soul hath hoped in the Lord.
6ขอให้พวกเขาเป็นเหมือนหญ้าบนหลังคา ที่เหี่ยวแห้งก่อนจะเติบโตเต็มที่
6From the morning watch even until night, let Israel hope in the Lord.
7คนเกี่ยวไม่อาจกำไว้เต็มมือ คนมัดฟ่อนก็ไม่อาจกอบไว้เต็มอ้อมแขน
7Because with the Lord there is mercy: and with him plentiful redemption.
8คนที่เดินผ่านไปจะไม่กล่าวว่า “ขอพระพรของพระยาห์เวห์อยู่กับพวกท่าน เราขออวยพรพวกท่านในพระนามของพระยาห์เวห์”
8And he shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities.
