1เปาโล ผู้เป็นอัครทูต ไม่ใช่จากมนุษย์ หรือผ่านมนุษย์คนใด แต่ผ่านทางพระเยซูคริสต์, และพระเจ้าพระบิดา ผู้ทำให้พระองค์ฟื้นขึ้นจากความตาย
1Paul, an apostle, not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead,
2พร้อมกับพี่น้องทุกคน ที่อยู่กับข้าพเจ้า ถึงประชาคมต่าง ๆ ในแคว้นกาลาเทีย:
2And all the brethren who are with me, to the churches of Galatia.
3ขอพระคุณและสันติสุขมีแก่พวกคุณ จากพระเจ้าพระบิดา และจากพระเยซูคริสต์องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าของเรา
3Grace be to you, and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ,
4พระองค์มอบพระองค์เองเพื่อบาปของเรา เพื่อช่วยเราให้พ้นจากยุคชั่วร้ายปัจจุบันนี้ ตามความประสงค์ของพระเจ้า ผู้เป็นพระบิดาของเรา
4Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present wicked world, according to the will of God and our Father:
5ขอพระสิริจงมีแด่พระองค์ตลอดไปเป็นนิตย์ อาเมน
5To whom is glory for ever and ever. Amen.
6ข้าพเจ้าประหลาดใจที่พวกคุณละทิ้งพระองค์ ผู้เรียกพวกคุณโดยพระคุณของพระคริสต์ ไปหา “ข่าวดี” อีกแบบหนึ่งอย่างรวดเร็วถึงเพียงนี้
6I wonder that you are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ, unto another gospel.
7ทั้งที่จริง ๆ แล้วไม่มี “ข่าวดี” อื่น มีเพียงบางคนที่ทำให้พวกคุณวุ่นวาย และต้องการบิดเบือนข่าวดีของพระคริสต์
7Which is not another, only there are some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
8ถึงแม้เราเอง หรือแม้แต่ทูตสวรรค์จากสวรรค์ จะประกาศ “ข่าวดี” แก่พวกคุณต่างจากที่เราเคยประกาศแก่พวกคุณ ก็ให้ผู้นั้นถูกสาปแช่ง
8But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach a gospel to you besides that which we have preached to you, let him be anathema.
9อย่างที่เราเคยกล่าวไว้ก่อนแล้ว บัดนี้ข้าพเจ้าขอกล่าวอีกครั้งว่า ถ้าใครประกาศ “ข่าวดี” แก่พวกคุณต่างจากที่พวกคุณได้รับ ก็ให้ผู้นั้นถูกสาปแช่ง
9As we said before, so now I say again: If any one preach to you a gospel, besides that which you have received, let him be anathema.
10ตอนนี้ข้าพเจ้ากำลังแสวงหาความเห็นชอบจากมนุษย์ หรือจากพระเจ้ากันแน่? หรือข้าพเจ้ากำลังพยายามทำให้มนุษย์พอใจ? ถ้าข้าพเจ้ายังเอาใจมนุษย์อยู่ ข้าพเจ้าก็คงไม่เป็นผู้รับใช้ของพระคริสต์
10For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? If I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.
11พี่น้องทั้งหลาย ข้าพเจ้าขอให้พวกคุณรู้ไว้ว่า ข่าวดีที่ข้าพเจ้าประกาศนั้น ไม่ได้เป็นไปตามแบบของมนุษย์
11For I give you to understand, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man.
12ข้าพเจ้าไม่ได้รับข่าวดีนั้นจากมนุษย์ และไม่มีมนุษย์สอนข้าพเจ้า แต่ข้าพเจ้าได้รับมาทางการเปิดเผยของพระเยซูคริสต์
12For neither did I receive it of man, nor did I learn it; but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.
13พวกคุณเคยได้ยินถึงวิถีชีวิตของข้าพเจ้าในอดีต เมื่อข้าพเจ้าอยู่ในศาสนายิว ว่าข้าพเจ้าข่มเหงประชาคมของพระเจ้าอย่างรุนแรงเกินขอบเขต และพยายามทำลายประชาคมนั้น
13For you have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews’ religion: how that, beyond measure, I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it.
14ข้าพเจ้าก้าวหน้าในศาสนายิวยิ่งกว่าคนรุ่นเดียวกันในหมู่คนร่วมชาติของข้าพเจ้าหลายคน เพราะข้าพเจ้ากระตือรือร้นอย่างยิ่งต่อประเพณีของบรรพบุรุษของข้าพเจ้า
14And I made progress in the Jews’ religion above many of my equals in my own nation, being more abundantly zealous for the traditions of my fathers.
15แต่เมื่อพระเจ้า ผู้แยกข้าพเจ้าไว้ตั้งแต่อยู่ในครรภ์มารดา และเรียกข้าพเจ้าโดยพระคุณของพระองค์ มีความยินดี
15But when it pleased him, who separated me from my mother’s womb, and called me by his grace,
16ที่จะเปิดเผยพระบุตรของพระองค์ในตัวข้าพเจ้า เพื่อให้ข้าพเจ้าประกาศพระองค์ท่ามกลางชนต่างชาติ ข้าพเจ้าก็ไม่ได้ไปปรึกษามนุษย์ที่มีเลือดเนื้อคนใดทันที
16To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the Gentiles, immediately I condescended not to flesh and blood.
17และไม่ได้ขึ้นไปกรุงเยรูซาเล็มเพื่อพบคนที่เป็นอัครทูตก่อนข้าพเจ้า แต่ข้าพเจ้าออกไปยังอาระเบีย แล้วจึงกลับมายังดามัสกัส
17Neither went I to Jerusalem, to the apostles who were before me: but I went into Arabia, and again I returned to Damascus.
18ต่อมาอีกสามปี ข้าพเจ้าขึ้นไปกรุงเยรูซาเล็มเพื่อเยี่ยมเปโตร และพักอยู่กับเขาสิบห้าวัน
18Then, after three years, I went to Jerusalem, to see Peter, and I tarried with him fifteen days.
19ส่วนอัครทูตคนอื่น ข้าพเจ้าไม่ได้พบใครเลย นอกจากยากอบ ผู้เป็นพี่น้องขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า
19But other of the apostles I saw none, saving James the brother of the Lord.
20เรื่องที่ข้าพเจ้าเขียนถึงพวกคุณนี้ ขอให้รู้ไว้ว่า ต่อหน้าพระเจ้า ข้าพเจ้าไม่ได้โกหก
20Now the things which I write to you, behold, before God, I lie not.
21หลังจากนั้นข้าพเจ้าไปยังแคว้นซีเรีย และแคว้นซีลีเซีย
21Afterwards I came into the regions of Syria and Cilicia.
22ประชาคมต่าง ๆ ในแคว้นยูเดียที่อยู่ในพระคริสต์ ยังไม่เคยเห็นหน้าข้าพเจ้า
22And I was unknown by face to the churches of Judea, which were in Christ:
23พวกเขาเพียงได้ยินคนพูดว่า “คนที่เคยข่มเหงพวกเรา บัดนี้กลับประกาศความเชื่อที่เขาเคยพยายามทำลาย”
23But they had heard only: He, who persecuted us in times past, doth now preach the faith which once he impugned:
24พวกเขาจึงถวายพระสิริแด่พระเจ้าเพราะข้าพเจ้า
24And they glorified God in me.
