1เปาโล อัครทูตของพระคริสต์เยซูตามพระประสงค์ของพระเจ้า เรียนผู้บริสุทธิ์ที่อยู่ในเอเฟซัส และผู้ที่ซื่อสัตย์ในพระคริสต์เยซู
1Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ, by the will of God, to all the saints who are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus.
2ขอพระคุณและสันติสุขมีแก่พวกคุณ จากพระเจ้าพระบิดาของเรา และจากพระเยซูคริสต์องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า
2Grace be to you, and peace from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
3ขอถวายคำสรรเสริญแด่พระเจ้า ผู้เป็นพระบิดาของพระเยซูคริสต์องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าของเรา พระองค์ได้อวยพรเราในพระคริสต์ ด้วยพระพรทางวิญญาณทุกอย่างในแดนสวรรค์
3Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with spiritual blessings in heavenly places, in Christ:
4พระองค์เลือกเราไว้ในพระคริสต์ก่อนการสร้างโลก เพื่อให้เราบริสุทธิ์และไม่มีตำหนิต่อหน้าพระองค์ในความรัก
4As he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and unspotted in his sight in charity.
5พระองค์กำหนดเราไว้ล่วงหน้าให้พระองค์รับเราเป็นบุตรโดยพระเยซูคริสต์ ตามความตั้งใจอันดีแห่งพระประสงค์ของพระองค์
5Who hath predestinated us unto the adoption of children through Jesus Christ unto himself: according to the purpose of his will:
6ทั้งนี้เพื่อให้พระคุณอันเปี่ยมด้วยพระสิริของพระองค์ได้รับการสรรเสริญ โดยพระคุณนี้ พระองค์ให้เราเป็นที่โปรดปรานในพระองค์ผู้เป็นที่รัก
6Unto the praise of the glory of his grace, in which he hath graced us in his beloved son.
7ในพระองค์ เราได้รับการไถ่ผ่านเลือดของพระองค์ คือการที่พระองค์ยกโทษการละเมิดของเรา ตามความอุดมแห่งพระคุณของพระองค์
7In whom we have redemption through his blood, the remission of sins, according to the riches of his grace,
8พระองค์ทำให้พระคุณนั้นล้นเหลือมาถึงเรา พร้อมด้วยปัญญาและความรอบคอบทุกอย่าง
8Which hath superabounded in us in all wisdom and prudence,
9พระองค์ทำให้เรารู้ความลับแห่งพระประสงค์ของพระองค์ ตามความตั้งใจอันดีที่พระองค์กำหนดไว้ในพระคริสต์
9That he might make known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure, which he hath purposed in him,
10เพื่อดำเนินแผนการเมื่อเวลาครบกำหนด คือนำทุกสิ่งมารวมไว้ในพระคริสต์ ทั้งสิ่งที่อยู่ในสวรรค์และสิ่งที่อยู่บนแผ่นดินโลก ให้รวมอยู่ในพระองค์
10In the dispensation of the fulness of times, to re-establish all things in Christ, that are in heaven and on earth, in him.
11ในพระองค์ เราก็ได้รับส่วนในมรดกด้วย เราถูกกำหนดไว้ล่วงหน้าตามแผนการของพระองค์ ผู้ทำทุกสิ่งตามพระประสงค์ที่พระองค์วางไว้
11In whom we also are called by lot, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things according to the counsel of his will.
12เพื่อให้เรา ผู้ที่หวังในพระคริสต์มาก่อน เป็นผู้ถวายคำสรรเสริญแด่พระสิริของพระองค์
12That we may be unto the praise of his glory, we who before hoped Christ:
13ในพระองค์ พวกคุณก็เช่นกัน เมื่อได้ยินถ้อยคำแห่งความจริง คือข่าวดีเรื่องความรอดของพวกคุณ และเชื่อในพระองค์ พวกคุณก็ได้รับตราประทับด้วยพระวิญญาณบริสุทธิ์ที่พระเจ้าสัญญาไว้
13In whom you also, after you had heard the word of truth, (the gospel of your salvation;) in whom also believing, you were signed with the holy Spirit of promise,
14พระวิญญาณนั้นเป็นหลักประกันมรดกของเรา จนกว่าพระเจ้าจะไถ่ผู้ที่เป็นกรรมสิทธิ์ของพระองค์ ทั้งนี้เพื่อให้พระสิริของพระองค์ได้รับการสรรเสริญ
14Who is the pledge of our inheritance, unto the redemption of acquisition, unto the praise of his glory.
15ด้วยเหตุนี้ เมื่อข้าพเจ้าได้ยินถึงความเชื่อที่พวกคุณมีในพระเยซูองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า และความรักที่มีต่อผู้บริสุทธิ์ทุกคน
15Wherefore I also, hearing of your faith that is in the Lord Jesus, and of your love towards all the saints,
16ข้าพเจ้าจึงไม่หยุดขอบคุณพระเจ้าเพราะพวกคุณ และระลึกถึงพวกคุณในคำอธิษฐานของข้าพเจ้า
16Cease not to give thanks for you, making commemoration of you in my prayers,
17ข้าพเจ้าอธิษฐานขอให้พระเจ้าของพระเยซูคริสต์องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าของเรา ผู้เป็นพระบิดาแห่งพระสิริ ประทานวิญญาณแห่งปัญญาและการเปิดเผยแก่พวกคุณ เพื่อให้พวกคุณรู้จักพระองค์
17That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and of revelation, in the knowledge of him:
18ขอให้ดวงตาแห่งหัวใจของพวกคุณสว่างขึ้น เพื่อพวกคุณจะรู้ว่าความหวังจากการเรียกของพระองค์คืออะไร มรดกอันเปี่ยมด้วยพระสิริของพระองค์ในผู้บริสุทธิ์นั้นมั่งคั่งเพียงใด
18The eyes of your heart enlightened, that you may know what the hope is of the glory of his inheritance in the saints.
19และรู้ว่าพลังของพระองค์ที่ทำงานเพื่อเราผู้เชื่อนั้นยิ่งใหญ่เกินประมาณเพียงใด พลังนี้เป็นไปตามการทำงานของกำลังอันยิ่งใหญ่ของพระองค์
19And what is the exceeding greatness of his power towards us, who believe according to the operation of the might of his power,
20ซึ่งพระองค์แสดงออกในพระคริสต์ เมื่อทำให้พระองค์ฟื้นขึ้นจากความตาย และให้นั่งที่ขวามือของพระองค์ในแดนสวรรค์
20Which he wrought in Christ, raising him up from the dead, and setting him on his right hand in the heavenly places.
21สูงเหนือผู้ครองทุกคน ผู้มีอำนาจ ผู้มีพลัง ผู้ปกครอง และทุกนามที่ถูกเอ่ยถึง ไม่เพียงในยุคนี้ แต่ในยุคที่จะมาด้วย
21Above all principality, and power, and virtue, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come.
22พระเจ้าทำให้ทุกสิ่งอยู่ใต้เท้าของพระคริสต์ และตั้งพระองค์ให้เป็นศีรษะเหนือทุกสิ่งสำหรับประชาคม
22And he hath subjected all things under his feet, and hath made him head over all the church,
23ประชาคมเป็นร่างกายของพระองค์ เป็นความเต็มเปี่ยมของพระองค์ผู้เติมเต็มทุกสิ่งในทุกทาง
23Which is his body, and the fulness of him who is filled all in all.
