1Paŭlo, apostolo de Jesuo Kristo per la volo de Dio, al la sanktuloj, kiuj estas en Efeso, kaj al la fideluloj en Kristo Jesuo:
1Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ, by the will of God, to all the saints who are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus.
2Graco estu al vi kaj paco de Dio, nia Patro, kaj de la Sinjoro Jesuo Kristo.
2Grace be to you, and peace from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
3Benata estu la Dio kaj Patro de nia Sinjoro Jesuo Kristo, kiu benis nin per ĉia beno spirita en la ĉielejoj en Kristo;
3Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with spiritual blessings in heavenly places, in Christ:
4kiel Li elektis nin en li antaŭ la fondo de la mondo, por ke ni estu sanktaj kaj senmakulaj antaŭ Li en amo;
4As he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and unspotted in his sight in charity.
5antaŭdestininte nin por filadopto per Jesuo Kristo al Si mem, laŭ la aprobo de Sia volo,
5Who hath predestinated us unto the adoption of children through Jesus Christ unto himself: according to the purpose of his will:
6al la laŭdo de la gloro de Lia graco, per kiu Li favoris nin en la Amata;
6Unto the praise of the glory of his grace, in which he hath graced us in his beloved son.
7en kiu ni havas la elaĉeton per lia sango, la pardonon de niaj pekoj, laŭ la riĉo de lia graco,
7In whom we have redemption through his blood, the remission of sins, according to the riches of his grace,
8kiun li abundigis al ni en ĉia saĝeco kaj prudento,
8Which hath superabounded in us in all wisdom and prudence,
9sciiginte al ni la misteron de Lia volo, laŭ Lia bonvolo, kiun Li antaŭdecidis en li,
9That he might make known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure, which he hath purposed in him,
10por dispono en la pleneco de la tempo, por sumigi en Kristo ĉion, kio estas en la ĉieloj kaj sur la tero;
10In the dispensation of the fulness of times, to re-establish all things in Christ, that are in heaven and on earth, in him.
11en li, en kiu ni fariĝis heredaĵo, destinite laŭ la antaŭdecido de Tiu, kiu ĉion faras laŭ la intenco de Sia volo;
11In whom we also are called by lot, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things according to the counsel of his will.
12por ke ni estu por la laŭdo de Lia gloro, ni, kiuj antaŭe esperis en Kristo;
12That we may be unto the praise of his glory, we who before hoped Christ:
13en kiu vi ankaŭ esperas, aŭdinte la vorton de la vero, la evangelion de via savo; al kiu ankaŭ kredinte, vi estas sigelitaj per la Sankta Spirito de promeso,
13In whom you also, after you had heard the word of truth, (the gospel of your salvation;) in whom also believing, you were signed with the holy Spirit of promise,
14kiu estas antaŭgarantiaĵo de nia heredaĵo, por la elaĉeto de la posedaĵo, por laŭdo de Lia gloro.
14Who is the pledge of our inheritance, unto the redemption of acquisition, unto the praise of his glory.
15Pro tio mi ankaŭ, aŭdinte pri via fido al la Sinjoro Jesuo, kaj via amo al ĉiuj sanktuloj,
15Wherefore I also, hearing of your faith that is in the Lord Jesus, and of your love towards all the saints,
16ne ĉesas danki pro vi, vin nomante en miaj preĝoj;
16Cease not to give thanks for you, making commemoration of you in my prayers,
17por ke la Dio de nia Sinjoro Jesuo Kristo, la Patro de gloro, donu al vi spiriton de saĝeco kaj malkaŝo en la konado de Li;
17That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and of revelation, in the knowledge of him:
18dum la okuloj de via koro estas lumigataj, por ke vi sciu, kia estas la espero de Lia voko, kaj kia la riĉeco de la gloro de Lia heredaĵo en la sanktuloj,
18The eyes of your heart enlightened, that you may know what the hope is of the glory of his inheritance in the saints.
19kaj kia la supermezura grandeco de Lia potenco al ni, kiuj kredas, laŭ la energio de la efikeco de Lia forto,
19And what is the exceeding greatness of his power towards us, who believe according to the operation of the might of his power,
20kiun Li faris en Kristo, relevante lin el la mortintoj, kaj sidigante lin dekstre de Li en la ĉieloj,
20Which he wrought in Christ, raising him up from the dead, and setting him on his right hand in the heavenly places.
21multe super ĉiu reganto kaj aŭtoritato kaj potenco kaj regeco, kaj ĉiu nomo nomata, ne nur en ĉi tiu mondo, sed ankaŭ en la estonta;
21Above all principality, and power, and virtue, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come.
22kaj ĉion Li metis sub liajn piedojn, kaj donis lin kiel kapon super ĉio por la eklezio,
22And he hath subjected all things under his feet, and hath made him head over all the church,
23kiu estas lia korpo, la pleneco de Tiu, kiu plenigas ĉion en ĉio.
23Which is his body, and the fulness of him who is filled all in all.
