Douay-Rheims Bible, American Edition (1899)
1U A hoopilikia pinepine mai lakou ia'u, Mai ko'u wa opiopio mai, wahi a ka Iseraela;
1Out of the depths I have cried to thee, O Lord:
2Ua hoopilikia pinepine mai lakou ia'u, mai ko'u wa opiopio mai; Aole nae lakou i lanakila mai maluna o'u.
2Lord, hear my voice. Let thy ears be attentive to the voice of my supplication.
3Ma ko'u kua i kahakaha ai ka poe kahakaha; A hana lakou i ko lakou kaha a loihi.
3If thou, O Lord, wilt mark iniquities: Lord, who shall stand it.
4Ua pono no o Iehova; Ua oki mai oia i na kaula o ka poe hewa.
4For with thee there is merciful forgiveness: and by reason of thy law, I have waited for thee, O Lord. My soul hath relied on his word:
5E hoohilahilaia a e hoihoi hope ia mai, Ka poe a pau e inaina mai ia Ziona.
5My soul hath hoped in the Lord.
6E like auanei lakou, me ka mauu maluna o na hale, Mae wale, ia mamua o ka liko ana.
6From the morning watch even until night, let Israel hope in the Lord.
7Aole e piha ka lima o ka mea i oki iho, Aole hoi ka umauma o ka mea hoopua i na pua.
7Because with the Lord there is mercy: and with him plentiful redemption.
8Aole hoi e olelo mai ka poe e hele ae, Maluna o oukou auanei ka hoomaikai ana o Iehova: Ke hoomaikai aku nei makou ia oukou ma ka inoa o Iehova.
8And he shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities.
