1When Israel came forth out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language;
2Mwet Judah elos tufah mwet mutal lun God, Ac mwet Israel elos tokosrai lal.
2Judah became His sanctuary, Israel His dominion.
3Meoa Srusra liye ac kaingla; Ac Infacl Jordan tui tila soror.
3The sea saw it, and fled; the Jordan turned backward.
4Fineol uh srosro oana nani, Ac tohktok uh srooht sroma oana sheep fusr uh.
4The mountains skipped like rams, the hills like young sheep.
5Meoa, mea sis kom kaing an? Ac kom, Infacl Jordan, efu kom ku tui tila soror?
5What aileth thee, O thou sea, that thou fleest? thou Jordan, that thou turnest backward?
