1主はモーセに告げられた。
1And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying:
2「イスラエルの子らに命じて、こう告げなさい。『あなたがたがカナンの地に入るとき、相続地として与えられるカナンの地の境界は次のとおりである。
2'Command the children of Israel, and say unto them: When ye come into the land of Canaan, this shall be the land that shall fall unto you for an inheritance, even the land of Canaan according to the borders thereof.
3南側は、エドムに接するツィンの荒野から始まり、南の境界は塩の海の東端から始まる。
3Thus your south side shall be from the wilderness of Zin close by the side of Edom, and your south border shall begin at the end of the Salt Sea eastward;
4境界はアクラビムの坂の南を回ってツィンを通り、カデシュ・バルネアの南へ出る。そこからハツァル・アダルへ進み、アツモンを通る。
4and your border shall turn about southward of the ascent of Akrabbim, and pass along to Zin; and the goings out thereof shall be southward of Kadesh-barnea; and it shall go forth to Hazar-addar, and pass along to Azmon;
5さらにアツモンからエジプト川へ曲がり、海に至る。
5and the border shall turn about from Azmon unto the Brook of Egypt, and the goings out thereof shall be at the Sea.
6西の境界は大海とその海岸である。これが西の境界となる。
6And for the western border, ye shall have the Great Sea for a border; this shall be your west border.
7北の境界は次のとおりである。大海からホル山へ境界線を引き、
7And this shall be your north border: from the Great Sea ye shall mark out your line unto mount Hor;
8ホル山からハマトの入口へ線を引く。境界はツェダデへ進み、
8from mount Hor ye shall mark out a line unto the entrance to Hamath; and the goings out of the border shall be at Zedad;
9ツィフロンを経てハツァル・エナンに至る。これが北の境界となる。
9and the border shall go forth to Ziphron, and the goings out thereof shall be at Hazar-enan; this shall be your north border.
10東の境界は、ハツァル・エナンからシェファムへ線を引く。
10And ye shall mark out your line for the east border from Hazar-enan to Shepham;
11境界はシェファムからアインの東にあるリブラへ下り、さらにキネレテ湖の東岸に達する。
11and the border shall go down from Shepham to Riblah, on the east side of Ain; and the border shall go down, and shall strike upon the slope of the sea of Chinnereth eastward;
12そこからヨルダン川を下り、塩の海に至る。これが周囲の境界によって定められる、あなたがたの地である。』」
12and the border shall go down to the Jordan, and the goings out thereof shall be at the Salt Sea; this shall be your land according to the borders thereof round about.'
13モーセはイスラエルの子らに命じた。「これは、くじによって相続地として受け継ぐ地である。主はこれを九部族と半部族に与えるよう命じられた。
13And Moses commanded the children of Israel, saying: 'This is the land wherein ye shall receive inheritance by lot, which the LORD hath commanded to give unto the nine tribes, and to the half-tribe;
14ルベン族とガド族は父祖の家ごとに、またマナセの半部族も、すでに相続地を受け取っている。
14for the tribe of the children of Reuben according to their fathers' houses, and the tribe of the children of Gad according to their fathers' houses, have received, and the half-tribe of Manasseh have received, their inheritance;
15二部族と半部族は、エリコの向かい、ヨルダン川の東側、日の出る方角に相続地を受け取った。」
15the two tribes and the half-tribe have received their inheritance beyond the Jordan at Jericho eastward, toward the sun-rising.'
16主はモーセに告げられた。
16And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying:
17「あなたがたのために地を相続地として分ける者は、祭司エルアザルとヌンの子ヨシュアである。
17'These are the names of the men that shall take possession of the land for you: Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun.
18また、地を分けるため、各部族から指導者を一人ずつ選びなさい。
18And ye shall take one prince of every tribe, to take possession of the land.
19その男たちの名は次のとおりである。ユダの部族からは、エフネの子カレブ。
19And these are the names of the men: of the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh.
20シメオンの子らの部族からは、アミフデの子シェムエル。
20And of the tribe of the children of Simeon, Shemuel the son of Ammihud.
21ベニヤミンの部族からは、キスロンの子エリダデ。
21Of the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad the son of Chislon.
22ダンの子らの部族の指導者として、ヨグリの子ブキ。
22And of the tribe of the children of Dan a prince, Bukki the son of Jogli.
23ヨセフの子らのうち、マナセの子らの部族の指導者として、エフォデの子ハニエル。
23Of the children of Joseph: of the tribe of the children of Manasseh a prince, Hanniel the son of Ephod;
24エフライムの子らの部族の指導者として、シフタンの子ケムエル。
24and of the tribe of the children of Ephraim a prince, Kemuel the son of Shiphtan.
25ゼブルンの子らの部族の指導者として、パルナクの子エリツァファン。
25And of the tribe of the children of Zebulun a prince, Eli-zaphan the son of Parnach.
26イッサカルの子らの部族の指導者として、アザンの子パルティエル。
26And of the tribe of the children of Issachar a prince, Paltiel the son of Azzan.
27アシェルの子らの部族の指導者として、シェロミの子アヒフデ。
27And of the tribe of the children of Asher a prince, Ahihud the son of Shelomi.
28ナフタリの子らの部族の指導者として、アミフデの子ペダヘル。」
28And of the tribe of the children of Naphtali a prince, Pedahel the son of Ammihud.
29これらが、カナンの地でイスラエルの子らに相続地を分けるよう、主が命じられた者たちである。
29These are they whom the LORD commanded to divide the inheritance unto the children of Israel in the land of Canaan.'
