1A psalm of David when he was in the desert of Edom.
1Pathen dong bueng ah ka hinglu loh duemnah a khueh tih kai kah khangnah khaw amah taeng lamkah ni.
2O God, my God, to thee do I watch at break of day. For thee my soul hath thirsted; for thee my flesh, O how many ways!
2Amah te ka lungpang neh kai ham khangnah, ka imsang la om pai tih, ka thuen tlaih mahpawh.
3In a desert land, and where there is no way, and no water: so in the sanctuary have I come before thee, to see thy power and thy glory.
3Hlang te me hil nim na phom uh ve? Nangmih boeih loh aka ngooi pangbueng neh aka bung vongtung bangla na sah uh aya?
4For thy mercy is better than lives: thee my lips shall praise.
4Anih te hmuensang lamloh heh ham rhep caai uh tih laithae a ngaingaih uh. A ka neh uem uh cakhaw a kotak ah a tap uh. Selah
5Thus will I bless thee all my life long: and in thy name I will lift up my hands.
5Ka ngaiuepnah amah taeng lamkah halo dongah ka hinglu loh Pathen dong bueng ah ni a duem.
6Let my soul be filled as with marrow and fatness: and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips.
6Anih bueng ni ka lungpang neh kai ham khangnah imsang la om tih ka tuen mahpawh.
7If I have remembered thee upon my bed, I will meditate on thee in the morning:
7Pathen dongah kai kah khangnah, ka thangpomnah, ka sarhi lungpang om tih Pathen dongah ka hlipyingnah ni.
8Because thou hast been my helper. And I will rejoice under the covert of thy wings:
8Pilnam loh a tue boeih khuiah BOEIPA dongah hangdang uh. Na thinko te amah hmai ah kingling lah. Pathen he mamih ham hlipyingnah ni. Selah
9My soul hath stuck close to thee: thy right hand hath received me.
9Tedae hlang capa rhoek he a honghi ni. Tongpa capa rhoek khaw laithae ni. Cooi dongah a honghi boeih lakah amih te yanghoep la a phoh.
10But they have sought my soul in vain, they shall go into the lower parts of the earth:
10Hnaemtaeknah dongah pangtung boel lamtah huencannah nen khaw hoemdawk boeh. A khuehtawn loh thaihsu cakhaw lungbuei pael boeh.
11They shall be delivered into the hands of the sword, they shall be the portions of foxes.
11Pathen loh vai a thui te Pathen taengkah sarhi ni tila voeihnih ka yaak.
12But the king shall rejoice in God, all they shall be praised that swear by him: because the mouth is stopped of them that speak wicked things.
12Hlang te a khoboe bangla na thuung dongah sitlohnah tah ka Boeipa namah kah ni.
