1Hãy ngợi khen Đức Giê-hô-va, cầu khẩn danh của Ngài; Khá truyền ra giữa các dân những công việc Ngài!
1O give thanks unto the LORD, call upon His name; make known His doings among the peoples.
2Hãy hát, hãy hát cho Ngài những bài ca! Khá nói về các việc lạ lùng của Ngài.
2Sing unto Him, sing praises unto Him; speak ye of all His marvellous works.
3Hãy khoe mình về danh thánh Ngài; Nguyện lòng kẻ nào tìm cầu Đức Giê-hô-va được khoái lạc!
3Glory ye in His holy name; let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.
4Hãy cầu Đức Giê-hô-va và quyền phép Ngài, Hãy tìm kiếm mặt Ngài luôn luôn.
4Seek ye the LORD and His strength; seek His face continually.
5Hỡi dòng dõi Aùp-ra-ham, là kẻ tôi tớ Ngài, Hỡi con cháu Gia-cốp, là kẻ Ngài chọn,
5Remember His marvellous works that He hath done, His wonders, and the judgments of His mouth;
6Hãy nhớ lại những việc lạ lùng Ngài đã làm, Các dấu k” và đoán ngữ mà miệng Ngài đã phán.
6O ye seed of Abraham His servant, ye children of Jacob, His chosen ones.
7Ngài là Giê-hô-va, Đức Chúa Trời chúng tôi; Sự đoán xét Ngài ở khắp trái đất.
7He is the LORD our God; His judgments are in all the earth.
8Ngài nhớ đến sự giao ước Ngài luôn luôn, Hồi tưởng lời phán dặn Ngài cho đến ngàn đời,
8He hath remembered His covenant for ever, the word which He commanded to a thousand generations;
9Tức là giao ước Ngài đã lập với Aùp-ra-ham, Đã thề cùng Y-sác,
9The covenant which He made with Abraham, and His oath unto Isaac;
10Định cho Gia-cốp làm luật lệ, Và lập cho Y-sơ-ra-ên làm giao ước đời đời,
10And He established it unto Jacob for a statute, to Israel for an everlasting covenant;
11Mà rằng: Ta sẽ ban cho ngươi xứ Ca-na-an, Là phần sản nghiệp các ngươi;
11Saying: 'Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance.'
12Lúc ấy họ chỉ là một số ít người, Không đông đảo và làm khách lạ trong xứ,
12When they were but a few men in number. Yea, very few, and sojourners in it,
13Đi từ dân nầy đến dân kia, Từ nước nầy qua nước khác.
13And when they went about from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another people,
14Ngài không cho ai hà hiếp họ; Ngài trách các vua vì cớ họ,
14He suffered no man to do them wrong, yea, for their sake He reproved kings:
15Mà rằng: Đừng đụng đến kẻ chịu xức dầu ta, Chớ làm hại các đấng tiên tri ta.
15'Touch not Mine anointed ones, and do My prophets no harm.'
16Ngài khiến cơn đói kém giáng trong xứ, Và cất hết cả lương thực.
16And He called a famine upon the land; He broke the whole staff of bread.
17Ngài sai một người đi trước Y-sơ-ra-ên, Là Giô-sép bị bán làm tôi mọi.
17He sent a man before them; Joseph was sold for a servant;
18Người ta cột chân người vào cùm, Làm cho người bị còng xiềng,
18His feet they hurt with fetters, his person was laid in iron;
19Cho đến ngày điều người đã nói được ứng nghiệm: Lời của Đức Giê-hô-va rèn thử người.
19Until the time that his word came to pass, the word of the LORD tested him.
20Vua sai tha Giô-sép; Đấng cai trị các dân giải-tha người.
20The king sent and loosed him; even the ruler of the peoples, and set him free.
21Vua lập người làm quản gia, Làm quan cai trị hết thảy tài sản mình,
21He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his possessions;
22Đặng mặc ý người trói buộc quần thần, Và lấy sự khôn ngoan dạy dỗ các trưởng lão.
22To bind his princes at his pleasure, and teach his elders wisdom.
23Bấy giờ Y-sơ-ra-ên cũng vào Ê-díp-tô; Gia-cốp ngụ tại trong xứ Cham.
23Israel also came into Egypt; and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.
24Đức Giê-hô-va làm cho dân sự Ngài thêm nhiều, Khiến họ mạnh mẽ hơn kẻ hà hiếp họ.
24And He increased His people greatly, and made them too mighty for their adversaries.
25Đoạn Ngài đổi lòng người Ê-díp-tô đặng chúng nó ghét dân sự Ngài, Lập mưu hại các tôi tớ Ngài.
25He turned their heart to hate His people, to deal craftily with His servants.
26Ngài sai Môi-se tôi tớ Ngài, Và A-rôn mà Ngài đã chọn.
26He sent Moses His servant, and Aaron whom He had chosen.
27Trong xứ Cham, tại giữa Ê-díp-tô, Hai người làm các dấu k” và phép lạ của Ngài.
27They wrought among them His manifold signs, and wonders in the land of Ham.
28Ngài giáng xuống sự tối tăm và làm ra mờ mịt; Còn họ không bội nghịch lời của Ngài.
28He sent darkness, and it was dark; and they rebelled not against His word.
29Ngài đổi nước chúng nó ra máu, Và giết chết cá của chúng nó.
29He turned their waters into blood, and slew their fish.
30Đất chúng nó sanh ếch nhiều lúc nhúc, Cho đến trong phòng cung thất vua cũng có.
30Their land swarmed with frogs, in the chambers of their kings.
31Ngài phán, bèn có ruồi mòng bay đến, Và muỗi trong các bờ cõi chúng nó.
31He spoke, and there came swarms of flies, and gnats in all their borders.
32Thay vì mưa, Ngài giáng mưa đá, Và lửa ngọn trong cả xứ.
32He gave them hail for rain, and flaming fire in their land.
33Ngài cũng hại vườn nho và cây vả, Bẻ gãy cây cối tại bờ cõi chúng nó.
33He smote their vines also and their fig-trees; and broke the trees of their borders.
34Ngài phán, bèn có châu chấu, Và cào cào bay đến vô số,
34He spoke, and the locust came, and the canker-worm without number,
35Cắn-sả hết thảy cây cỏ trong xứ, Và phá hại bông trái của đất chúng nó.
35And did eat up every herb in their land, and did eat up the fruit of their ground.
36Ngài cũng đánh giết hết thảy con đầu lòng trong xứ, Tức là cả cường-tráng sanh đầu của chúng nó.
36He smote also all the first-born in their land, the first-fruits of all their strength.
37Đoạn Ngài dẫn Y-sơ-ra-ên ra có cầm bạc và vàng; Chẳng một ai yếu mỏn trong các chi phái của Ngài.
37And He brought them forth with silver and gold; and there was none that stumbled among His tribes.
38Ê-díp-tô vui vẻ khi dân Y-sơ-ra-ên đi ra; Vì cơn kinh khủng bởi Y-sơ-ra-ên đã giáng trên chúng nó.
38Egypt was glad when they departed; for the fear of them had fallen upon them.
39Ngài bủa mây ra để che chở, Và ban đêm có lửa soi sáng.
39He spread a cloud for a screen; and fire to give light in the night.
40Chúng nó cầu xin, Ngài bèn khiến những con cút đến, Và lấy bánh trời mà cho chúng nó ăn no nê.
40They asked, and He brought quails, and gave them in plenty the bread of heaven.
41Ngài khai hòn đá, nước bèn phun ra, Chảy ngang qua nơi khô khác nào cái sông.
41He opened the rock, and waters gushed out; they ran, a river in the dry places.
42Vì Ngài nhớ lại lời thánh Ngài, Và hồi tưởng Aùp-ra-ham, là kẻ tôi tớ Ngài.
42For He remembered His holy word unto Abraham His servant;
43Ngài dẫn dân Ngài ra cách hớn hở, Dắt kẻ Ngài chọn ra với bài hát thắng trận.
43And He brought forth His people with joy, His chosen ones with singing.
44Ngài ban cho họ đất của nhiều nước, Họ nhận được công lao của các dân;
44And He gave them the lands of the nations, and they took the labour of the peoples in possession;
45Hầu cho họ gìn giữ các luật lệ Ngài, Và vâng theo những luật pháp Ngài. Ha-lê-lu-gia!
45That they might keep His statutes, and observe His laws. Hallelujah.
