1O give thanks unto the LORD, call upon His name; make known His doings among the peoples.
2Zpívejte jemu, žalmy prozpěvujte jemu, rozmlouvejte o všech divných skutcích jeho.
2Sing unto Him, sing praises unto Him; speak ye of all His marvellous works.
3Glory ye in His holy name; let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.
4Hledejte Hospodina a síly jeho, hledejte tváři jeho ustavičně.
4Seek ye the LORD and His strength; seek His face continually.
5Remember His marvellous works that He hath done, His wonders, and the judgments of His mouth;
6Símě Abrahamovo, služebníka jeho, synové Jákobovi, vyvolení jeho.
6O ye seed of Abraham His servant, ye children of Jacob, His chosen ones.
7He is the LORD our God; His judgments are in all the earth.
8Pamatuje věčně na smlouvu svou, na slovo, kteréž přikázal až do tisíce pokolení,
8He hath remembered His covenant for ever, the word which He commanded to a thousand generations;
9Kteréž upevnil s Abrahamem, a na přísahu svou učiněnou Izákovi.
9The covenant which He made with Abraham, and His oath unto Isaac;
10Nebo ji utvrdil Jákobovi za ustanovení, Izraelovi za smlouvu věčnou,
10And He established it unto Jacob for a statute, to Israel for an everlasting covenant;
11Pravě: Tobě dám zemi Kananejskou za podíl dědictví vašeho,
11Saying: 'Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance.'
12Ješto jich byl malý počet, malý počet, a ještě v ní byli pohostinu.
12When they were but a few men in number. Yea, very few, and sojourners in it,
13Přecházeli zajisté z národu do národu, a z království k jinému lidu.
13And when they went about from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another people,
14Nedopustil žádnému ublížiti jim, ano i krále pro ně trestal, řka:
14He suffered no man to do them wrong, yea, for their sake He reproved kings:
15Nedotýkejte se pomazaných mých, a prorokům mým nečiňte nic zlého.
15'Touch not Mine anointed ones, and do My prophets no harm.'
16Když přivolav hlad na zemi, všecku hůl chleba polámal,
16And He called a famine upon the land; He broke the whole staff of bread.
17He sent a man before them; Joseph was sold for a servant;
18Jehož nohy sevřeli pouty, železa podniknouti musil,
18His feet they hurt with fetters, his person was laid in iron;
19Až do toho času, když se zmínka stala o něm; řeč Hospodinova zkusila ho.
19Until the time that his word came to pass, the word of the LORD tested him.
20Poslav král, propustiti ho rozkázal, panovník lidu svobodna ho učinil.
20The king sent and loosed him; even the ruler of the peoples, and set him free.
21Ustanovil ho pánem domu svého, a panovníkem všeho vládařství svého,
21He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his possessions;
22Aby vládl i knížaty jeho podlé své líbosti, a starce jeho vyučoval moudrosti.
22To bind his princes at his pleasure, and teach his elders wisdom.
23Potom všel Izrael do Egypta, a Jákob pohostinu byl v zemi Chamově.
23Israel also came into Egypt; and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.
24Kdež rozmnožil Bůh lid svůj náramně, a učinil, aby silnější byl nad nepřátely své.
24And He increased His people greatly, and made them too mighty for their adversaries.
25Změnil mysl těchto, aby v nenávisti měli lid jeho, a aby ukládali lest o služebnících jeho.
25He turned their heart to hate His people, to deal craftily with His servants.
26I poslal Mojžíše slouhu svého, a Arona, kteréhož vyvolil.
26He sent Moses His servant, and Aaron whom He had chosen.
27Kteříž předložili jim slova znamení jeho a zázraků v zemi Chamově.
27They wrought among them His manifold signs, and wonders in the land of Ham.
28He sent darkness, and it was dark; and they rebelled not against His word.
29Obrátil vody jejich v krev, a zmořil ryby v nich.
29He turned their waters into blood, and slew their fish.
30Vydala země jejich množství žab, i v pokoleních králů jejich.
30Their land swarmed with frogs, in the chambers of their kings.
31He spoke, and there came swarms of flies, and gnats in all their borders.
32He gave them hail for rain, and flaming fire in their land.
33He smote their vines also and their fig-trees; and broke the trees of their borders.
34Řekl, i přišly kobylky a chroustů nesčíslné množství.
34He spoke, and the locust came, and the canker-worm without number,
35I sežrali všelikou bylinu v krajině jejich, a pojedli úrody země jejich.
35And did eat up every herb in their land, and did eat up the fruit of their ground.
36Nadto pobil všecko prvorozené v zemi jejich, počátek všeliké síly jejich.
36He smote also all the first-born in their land, the first-fruits of all their strength.
37And He brought them forth with silver and gold; and there was none that stumbled among His tribes.
38Egypt was glad when they departed; for the fear of them had fallen upon them.
39Roztáhl oblak k zastírání jich, a oheň k osvěcování noci.
39He spread a cloud for a screen; and fire to give light in the night.
40K žádosti přivedl křepelky, a chlebem nebeským sytil je.
40They asked, and He brought quails, and gave them in plenty the bread of heaven.
41Otevřel skálu, i tekly vody, a odcházely přes vyprahlá místa jako řeka.
41He opened the rock, and waters gushed out; they ran, a river in the dry places.
42For He remembered His holy word unto Abraham His servant;
43Protož vyvedl lid svůj s radostí, s prozpěvováním vyvolené své.
43And He brought forth His people with joy, His chosen ones with singing.
44A dal jim země pohanů, a tak úsilí národů dědičně obdrželi,
44And He gave them the lands of the nations, and they took the labour of the peoples in possession;
45Aby zachovávali ustanovení jeho, a práv jeho ostříhali. Halelujah.
45That they might keep His statutes, and observe His laws. Hallelujah.
