1Ne nám, Hospodine, ne nám, ale jménu svému dej čest, pro milosrdenství své a pro pravdu svou.
1Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, but unto Thy name give glory, for Thy mercy, and for Thy truth's sake.
2Proč mají říkati pohané: Kdež jest nyní Bůh jejich?
2Wherefore should the nations say: 'Where is now their God?'
3Ješto Bůh náš jest na nebi, čině všecko, což se mu líbí.
3But our God is in the heavens; whatsoever pleased Him He hath done.
4Modly pak jejich jsou stříbro a zlato, dílo rukou lidských.
4Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men's hands.
5Ústa mají, a nemluví, oči mají, a nevidí.
5They have mouths, but they speak not; eyes have they, but they see not;
6Uši mají, a neslyší, nos mají, a nečijí.
6They have ears, but they hear not; noses have they, but they smell not;
7Ruce mají, a nemakají, nohy mají, a nechodí, aniž volati mohou hrdlem svým.
7They have hands, but they handle not; feet have they, but they walk not; neither speak they with their throat.
8Nechať jsou jim podobni, kteříž je dělají, a kdožkoli v nich doufají.
8They that make them shall be like unto them; yea, every one that trusteth in them.
9Izraeli, doufej v Hospodina, nebo spomocníkem a štítem takových on jest.
9O Israel, trust thou in the LORD! He is their help and their shield!
10Dome Aronův, doufej v Hospodina, spomocníkem a štítem takových on jest.
10O house of Aaron, trust ye in the LORD! He is their help and their shield!
11Kteříž se bojíte Hospodina, doufejte v Hospodina, spomocníkem a štítem takových on jest.
11Ye that fear the LORD, trust in the LORD! He is their help and their shield.
12Hospodin rozpomena se na nás, požehná; požehná domu Izraelovu, požehná i domu Aronovu.
12The LORD hath been mindful of us, He will bless — He will bless the house of Israel; He will bless the house of Aaron.
13Požehná bojícím se Hospodina, malým, i velikým.
13He will bless them that fear the LORD, both small and great.
14Rozmnoží Hospodin vás, vás i syny vaše.
14The LORD increase you more and more, you and your children.
15Požehnaní vy od Hospodina, kterýž učinil nebesa i zemi.
15Blessed be ye of the LORD who made heaven and earth.
16Nebesa jsou nebesa Hospodinova, zemi pak dal synům lidským.
16The heavens are the heavens of the LORD; but the earth hath He given to the children of men.
17Ne mrtví chváliti budou Hospodina, ani kdo ze všech těch, kteříž sstupují do místa mlčení,
17The dead praise not the LORD, neither any that go down into silence;
18Ale my dobrořečiti budeme Hospodinu od tohoto času až na věky. Halelujah.
18But we will bless the LORD from this time forth and for ever. Hallelujah.
