1Начальнику хора. На музыкальном орудии Шошанним-Эдуф. Псалом Асафа.
1A Psalm of Asaph. O God, the heathen are come into Thine inheritance; they have defiled Thy holy temple; they have made Jerusalem into heaps.
2Пастырь Израиля! внемли; водящий, как овец, Иосифа, восседающий на Херувимах, яви Себя.
2They have given the dead bodies of Thy servants to be food unto the fowls of the heaven, the flesh of Thy saints unto the beasts of the earth.
3Пред Ефремом и Вениамином и Манассиею воздвигни силу Твою, и приди спасти нас.
3They have shed their blood like water round about Jerusalem, with none to bury them.
4Боже! восстанови нас; да воссияет лице Твое, и спасемся!
4We are become a taunt to our neighbours, a scorn and derision to them that are round about us.
5Господи, Боже сил! доколе будешь гневен к молитвам народа Твоего?
5How long, O LORD, wilt Thou be angry for ever? How long will Thy jealousy burn like fire?
6Ты напитал их хлебом слезным, и напоил их слезами в большой мере,
6Pour out Thy wrath upon the nations that know Thee not, and upon the kingdoms that call not upon Thy name.
7положил нас в пререкание соседям нашим, и враги наши издеваются над нами.
7For they have devoured Jacob, and laid waste his habitation.
8Боже сил! восстанови нас; да воссияет лице Твое, и спасемся!
8Remember not against us the iniquities of our forefathers; let Thy compassions speedily come to meet us; for we are brought very low.
9Из Египта перенес Ты виноградную лозу, выгнал народы и посадил ее;
9Help us, O God of our salvation, for the sake of the glory of Thy name; and deliver us, and forgive our sins, for Thy name's sake.
10очистил для нее место, и утвердил корни ее, и она наполнила землю.
10Wherefore should the nations say: 'Where is their God?' Let the avenging of Thy servants' blood that is shed be made known among the nations in our sight.
11Горы покрылись тенью ее, и ветви ее как кедры Божии;
11Let the groaning of the prisoner come before Thee; according to the greatness of Thy power set free those that are appointed to death;
12она пустила ветви свои до моря и отрасли свои до реки.
12And render unto our neighbours sevenfold into their bosom their reproach, wherewith they have reproached Thee, O Lord.
13Для чего разрушил Ты ограды ее, так что обрывают ее все, проходящие по пути?
13So we that are Thy people and the flock of Thy pasture will give Thee thanks for ever; we will tell of Thy praise to all generations.
14Лесной вепрь подрывает ее, и полевой зверь объедает ее.

15Боже сил! обратись же, призри с неба, и воззри, и посети виноград сей;

16охрани то, что насадила десница Твоя, и отрасли, которые Ты укрепил Себе.

17Он пожжен огнем, обсечен; от прещения лица Твоего погибнут.

18Да будет рука Твоя над мужем десницы Твоей, над сыном человеческим, которого Ты укрепил Себе,

19и мы не отступим от Тебя; оживи нас, и мы будем призывать имя Твое.
