1Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, but unto Thy name give glory, for Thy mercy, and for Thy truth's sake.
1ما را نی، ای خداوند! ما را نی، بلکه نام خود را جلال ده! به‌سبب رحمتت و به‌سبب راستی خویش.
2Wherefore should the nations say: 'Where is now their God?'
2امتها چرابگویند که «خدای ایشان الان کجاست؟»
3But our God is in the heavens; whatsoever pleased Him He hath done.
3اماخدای ما در آسمانهاست. آنچه را که اراده نموده به عمل آورده است.
4Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men's hands.
4بتهای ایشان نقره وطلاست، از صنعت دستهای انسان.
5They have mouths, but they speak not; eyes have they, but they see not;
5آنها را دهان است و سخن نمی گویند. آنها را چشمهاست ونمی بینند.
6They have ears, but they hear not; noses have they, but they smell not;
6آنها را گوشهاست و نمی شنوند. آنهارا بینی است و نمی بویند.
7They have hands, but they handle not; feet have they, but they walk not; neither speak they with their throat.
7دستها دارند و لمس نمی کنند. و پایها و راه نمی روند. و به گلوی خودتنطق نمی نمایند.
8They that make them shall be like unto them; yea, every one that trusteth in them.
8سازندگان آنها مثل آنهاهستند، و هر‌که بر آنها توکل دارد.
9O Israel, trust thou in the LORD! He is their help and their shield!
9ای اسرائیل بر خداوند توکل نما. او معاون وسپر ایشان است.
10O house of Aaron, trust ye in the LORD! He is their help and their shield!
10ای خاندان هارون بر خداوندتوکل نمایید. او معاون و سپر ایشان است.
11Ye that fear the LORD, trust in the LORD! He is their help and their shield.
11ای ترسندگان خداوند، بر خداوند توکل نمایید. او معاون و سپر ایشان است.
12The LORD hath been mindful of us, He will bless — He will bless the house of Israel; He will bless the house of Aaron.
12خداوند ما را به یادآورده، برکت می‌دهد. خاندان اسرائیل را برکت خواهد داد و خاندان هارون را برکت خواهد داد.
13He will bless them that fear the LORD, both small and great.
13ترسندگان خداوند را برکت خواهد داد، چه کوچک و چه بزرگ.
14The LORD increase you more and more, you and your children.
14خداوند شما را ترقی خواهد داد، شما و فرزندان شما را.
15Blessed be ye of the LORD who made heaven and earth.
15شمامبارک خداوند هستید که آسمان و زمین را آفرید.
16The heavens are the heavens of the LORD; but the earth hath He given to the children of men.
16آسمانها، آسمانهای خداوند است و اما زمین را به بنی آدم عطا فرمود.
17The dead praise not the LORD, neither any that go down into silence;
17مردگان نیستند که یاه را تسبیح می‌خوانند؛ و نه آنانی که به خاموشی فرو می‌روند.
18But we will bless the LORD from this time forth and for ever. Hallelujah.
18لیکن ما یاه را متبارک خواهیم خواند، از الان و تا ابدالاباد. هللویاه!
