1Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, but unto Thy name give glory, for Thy mercy, and for Thy truth's sake.
1Não a nós, SENHOR, não a nós, mas dá glória ao teu nome, por causa do teu amor leal e por causa da tua verdade.
2Wherefore should the nations say: 'Where is now their God?'
2Por que as nações diriam: “Onde está o Deus deles, agora?”
3But our God is in the heavens; whatsoever pleased Him He hath done.
3Mas o nosso Deus está nos céus. Ele faz tudo o que lhe agrada.
4Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men's hands.
4Os ídolos deles são prata e ouro, obra das mãos dos homens.
5They have mouths, but they speak not; eyes have they, but they see not;
5Têm boca, mas não falam. Têm olhos, mas não veem.
6They have ears, but they hear not; noses have they, but they smell not;
6Têm ouvidos, mas não ouvem. Têm nariz, mas não cheiram.
7They have hands, but they handle not; feet have they, but they walk not; neither speak they with their throat.
7Têm mãos, mas não sentem. Têm pés, mas não andam, nem falam pela sua garganta.
8They that make them shall be like unto them; yea, every one that trusteth in them.
8Aqueles que os fazem serão como eles; sim, todos os que neles confiam.
9O Israel, trust thou in the LORD! He is their help and their shield!
9Israel, confie no SENHOR! Ele é o seu auxílio e o seu escudo.
10O house of Aaron, trust ye in the LORD! He is their help and their shield!
10Casa de Arão, confie no SENHOR! Ele é o seu auxílio e o seu escudo.
11Ye that fear the LORD, trust in the LORD! He is their help and their shield.
11Vocês que temem ao SENHOR, confiem no SENHOR! Ele é o seu auxílio e o seu escudo.
12The LORD hath been mindful of us, He will bless — He will bless the house of Israel; He will bless the house of Aaron.
12O SENHOR se lembra de nós. Ele nos abençoará. Ele abençoará a casa de Israel. Ele abençoará a casa de Arão.
13He will bless them that fear the LORD, both small and great.
13Ele abençoará os que temem ao SENHOR, tanto os pequenos quanto os grandes.
14The LORD increase you more and more, you and your children.
14Que o SENHOR os multiplique mais e mais, vocês e os seus filhos.
15Blessed be ye of the LORD who made heaven and earth.
15Benditos sejam vocês pelo SENHOR, que fez o céu e a terra.
16The heavens are the heavens of the LORD; but the earth hath He given to the children of men.
16Os céus são os céus do SENHOR, mas a terra ele deu aos filhos dos homens.
17The dead praise not the LORD, neither any that go down into silence;
17Os mortos não louvam ao SENHOR, nem nenhum dos que descem ao silêncio,
18But we will bless the LORD from this time forth and for ever. Hallelujah.
18mas nós bendiremos ao SENHOR, desde agora e para sempre. Louvem ao SENHOR!
