1(3-1) A Psalm of David, when he fled from Absalom his son. (3-2) LORD, how many are mine adversaries become! Many are they that rise up against me.
1SENHOR, como aumentaram os meus adversários! Muitos são os que se levantam contra mim.
2(3-3) Many there are that say of my soul: 'There is no salvation for him in God.' Selah
2Muitos são os que dizem da minha alma: “Não há socorro para ele em Deus.” Selá.
3(3-4) But thou, O LORD, art a shield about me; my glory, and the lifter up of my head.
3Mas tu, SENHOR, és um escudo ao meu redor, minha glória, e aquele que levanta a minha cabeça.
4(3-5) With my voice I call unto the LORD, and He answereth me out of His holy mountain. Selah
4Clamo ao SENHOR com a minha voz, e ele me responde do seu santo monte. Selá.
5(3-6) I lay me down, and I sleep; I awake, for the LORD sustaineth me.
5Eu me deitei e dormi. Acordei, pois o SENHOR me sustenta.
6(3-7) I am not afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me round about.
6Não terei medo de dezenas de milhares de pessoas que se puseram contra mim de todos os lados.
7(3-8) Arise, O LORD; save me, O my God; for Thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek, Thou hast broken the teeth of the wicked.
7Levanta-te, SENHOR! Salva-me, meu Deus! Pois feriste todos os meus inimigos no maxilar. Quebraste os dentes dos ímpios.
8(3-9) Salvation belongeth unto the LORD; Thy blessing be upon Thy people. Selah
8A salvação pertence ao SENHOR. Que a tua bênção esteja sobre o teu povo. Selá.
