1Hallelujah; for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant, and praise is comely.
1Louvem ao SENHOR, pois é bom cantar louvores ao nosso Deus; pois é agradável e apropriado louvá-lo.
2The LORD doth build up Jerusalem, He gathereth together the dispersed of Israel;
2O SENHOR edifica Jerusalém. Ele reúne os exilados de Israel.
3Who healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.
3Ele cura os de coração quebrantado, e enfaixa as suas feridas.
4He counteth the number of the stars; He giveth them all their names.
4Ele conta o número das estrelas. Ele chama a todas pelos seus nomes.
5Great is our Lord, and mighty in power; His understanding is infinite.
5Grande é o nosso Senhor, e imenso em poder. Seu entendimento é infinito.
6The LORD upholdeth the humble; He bringeth the wicked down to the ground.
6O SENHOR ampara os humildes. Ele abate os ímpios até o chão.
7Sing unto the LORD with thanksgiving, sing praises upon the harp unto our God;
7Cantem ao SENHOR com ações de graças. Cantem louvores com a harpa ao nosso Deus,
8Who covereth the heaven with clouds, who prepareth rain for the earth, who maketh the mountains to spring with grass.
8que cobre o céu de nuvens, que prepara a chuva para a terra, que faz a relva crescer nos montes.
9He giveth to the beast his food, and to the young ravens which cry.
9Ele provê alimento para o gado, e para os filhotes dos corvos quando clamam.
10He delighteth not in the strength of the horse; He taketh no pleasure in the legs of a man.
10Ele não se deleita na força do cavalo. Ele não tem prazer nas pernas do homem.
11The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear Him, in those that wait for His mercy.
11O SENHOR tem prazer naqueles que o temem, naqueles que esperam no seu amor leal.
12Glorify the LORD, O Jerusalem; praise thy God, O Zion.
12Louve ao SENHOR, ó Jerusalém! Louve o seu Deus, ó Sião!
13For He hath made strong the bars of thy gates; He hath blessed thy children within thee.
13Pois ele fortaleceu as trancas das suas portas. Ele abençoou os seus filhos dentro de você.
14He maketh thy borders peace; He giveth thee in plenty the fat of wheat.
14Ele estabelece a paz nas suas fronteiras. Ele a farta com o melhor do trigo.
15He sendeth out His commandment upon earth; His word runneth very swiftly.
15Ele envia a sua ordem à terra. A sua palavra corre muito velozmente.
16He giveth snow like wool; He scattereth the hoar-frost like ashes.
16Ele dá a neve como lã, e espalha a geada como cinzas.
17He casteth forth His ice like crumbs; who can stand before His cold?
17Ele lança o seu granizo como pedrinhas. Quem pode resistir ao seu frio?
18He sendeth forth His word, and melteth them; He causeth His wind to blow, and the waters flow.
18Ele envia a sua palavra, e os derrete. Ele faz o seu vento soprar, e as águas fluem.
19He declareth His word unto Jacob, His statutes and His ordinances unto Israel.
19Ele revela a sua palavra a Jacó, os seus estatutos e as suas ordenanças a Israel.
20He hath not dealt so with any nation; and as for His ordinances, they have not known them. Hallelujah.
20Ele não fez isso por qualquer outra nação. Eles não conhecem as suas ordenanças. Louvem ao SENHOR!
