1A Song of Ascents; of David. I rejoiced when they said unto me: 'Let us go unto the house of the LORD.'
1Alegrei-me quando me disseram: “Vamos à casa do SENHOR!”
2Our feet are standing within thy gates, O Jerusalem;
2Nossos pés estão firmados dentro das suas portas, Jerusalém!
3Jerusalem, that art builded as a city that is compact together;
3Jerusalém está construída como uma cidade firmemente unida,
4Whither the tribes went up, even the tribes of the LORD, as a testimony unto Israel, to give thanks unto the name of the LORD.
4para onde as tribos sobem, sim, as tribos do SENHOR, segundo um estatuto para Israel, para dar graças ao nome do SENHOR.
5For there were set thrones for judgment, the thrones of the house of David.
5Pois ali estão estabelecidos os tronos para julgamento, os tronos da casa de Davi.
6Pray for the peace of Jerusalem; may they prosper that love thee.
6Orem pela paz de Jerusalém. Aqueles que a amam prosperarão.
7Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces.
7Haja paz dentro dos seus muros, e prosperidade dentro dos seus palácios.
8For my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say: 'Peace be within thee.'
8Por causa dos meus irmãos e companheiros, eu agora direi: “Haja paz dentro de você.”
9For the sake of the house of the LORD our God I will seek thy good.
9Por causa da casa do SENHOR, nosso Deus, eu buscarei o seu bem.
