1A Song of Ascents; of David. I rejoiced when they said unto me: 'Let us go unto the house of the LORD.'
1Mi ekĝojis, kiam oni diris al mi: Ni iru en la domon de la Eternulo.
2Our feet are standing within thy gates, O Jerusalem;
2Niaj piedoj staris en viaj pordegoj, Ho Jerusalem,
3Jerusalem, that art builded as a city that is compact together;
3Vi Jerusalem, konstruita kiel urbo, En kiu ĉio kuniĝis.
4Whither the tribes went up, even the tribes of the LORD, as a testimony unto Israel, to give thanks unto the name of the LORD.
4Tien supreniris la triboj, la triboj de la Eternulo, Laŭ la moro de Izrael, Por glori la nomon de la Eternulo.
5For there were set thrones for judgment, the thrones of the house of David.
5Ĉar tie staris tronoj de juĝo, Tronoj de la domo de David.
6Pray for the peace of Jerusalem; may they prosper that love thee.
6Deziru pacon al Jerusalem; Bonan staton havu viaj amantoj.
7Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces.
7Paco estu inter viaj muroj, Bonstato en viaj palacoj.
8For my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say: 'Peace be within thee.'
8Pro miaj fratoj kaj amikoj mi do diru: Paco estu al vi.
9For the sake of the house of the LORD our God I will seek thy good.
9Pro la domo de la Eternulo, nia Dio, Mi deziras al vi bonon.
