1Angraeng loe hoih pongah, angmah khaeah kawnhaih lok to thui oh; a palungnathaih loe dungzan khoek to cak.
1BOOK V 'O give thanks unto the LORD, for He is good, for His mercy endureth for ever.'
2Angraeng mah akrang ih kaminawk mah, anih mah ni misa ban thung hoiah ang krang,
2So let the redeemed of the LORD say, whom He hath redeemed from the hand of the adversary;
3Anih mah ni, ni angyae, niduem, aluek, aloih, prae congca hoiah nihcae to nawnto pakhueng, tiah thui o nasoe.
3And gathered them out of the lands, from the east and from the west, from the north and from the sea.
4Nihcae loe praezaek ah bomkung om ai ah amhet o; khosak hanah vangpui doeh hnu o ai.
4They wandered in the wilderness in a desert way; they found no city of habitation.
5Zok amthlam hoi tui anghae ah a oh o moe, a hinghaih thazai o sut.
5Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them.
6Raihaih tong naah Angraeng khaeah a qah o, to naah anih mah patangkhanghaih thung hoiah nihcae to pahlong.
6Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and He delivered them out of their distresses.
7Anih mah a oh o haih vangpui thungah phak o thai hanah, katoeng loklam hoiah caeh haih.
7And He led them by a straight way, that they might go to a city of habitation.
8A hoihhaih hoi kaminawk khaeah sak ih dawnrai hmuennawk pongah, Angraeng khaeah kawnhaih lawk thui o nasoe!
8Let them give thanks unto the LORD for His mercy, and for His wonderful works to the children of men!
9Hinghaih tui anghae kami to anih mah dipsak moe, hinghaih zok amthlam kami doeh caak hanah kahoih hmuen hoiah a koisak.
9For He hath satisfied the longing soul, and the hungry soul He hath filled with good.
10To baktih kami loe vinghaih hoi duekhaih tahlip thungah anghnut o, patangkhang o moe, sumqui hoiah pathlet o,
10Such as sat in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron —
11nihcae loe Sithaw ih loknawk to aek o moe, Kasang koek mah thuih ih lok to tidoeh sah o ai pongah, to tiah oh o.
11Because they rebelled against the words of God, and contemned the counsel of the Most High.
12To pongah nihcae mah palungthin pahnaem o thai hanah, karai tok to a saksak; nihcae loe amthaek o, kalawnkung mi doeh om ai.
12Therefore He humbled their heart with travail, they stumbled, and there was none to help —
13Raihaih tong o naah Angraeng khaeah a hang o, nihcae patangkhanghaih thung hoiah anih mah pahlong.
13They cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and He saved them out of their distresses.
14Anih mah vinghaih, duekhaih tahlip thung hoiah zaeh moe, sumquinawk to a khramh pae.
14He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and broke their bands in sunder.
15A hoihhaih hoiah kaminawk khaeah sak ih dawnrai hmuennawk pongah, Angraeng khaeah kawnhaih lawkthui o nasoe!
15Let them give thanks unto the LORD for His mercy, and for His wonderful works to the children of men!
16Tipongah tih nahaeloe anih mah sumkamling hoi sak ih khongkha to khaeh moe, ataehhaih sumboeng doeh adaem pae boih boeh.
16For He hath broken the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron in sunder.
17Thoemto kaminawk loe lokaekhaih pongah amthu o moe, a sakpazae o haih pongah, patangkhang o.
17Crazed because of the way of their transgression, and afflicted because of their iniquities —
18Buh aannawk to panuet o moe, duekhaih khongkha taengah a phak o.
18Their soul abhorred all manner of food, and they drew near unto the gates of death —
19Raihaih tong o naah Angraeng khaeah a hang o, nihcae patanghaih thung hoiah anih mah pahlong.
19They cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and He saved them out of their distresses;
20Anih mah lok to thuih moe, nihcae to ngantuisak; amrohaih thung hoiah nihcae to pahlong.
20He sent His word, and healed them, and delivered them from their graves.
21A hoihhaih hoiah kaminawk khaeah sak ih dawnrai hmuennawk pongah, Angraeng khaeah kawnhaih lawk thui o nasoe!
21Let them give thanks unto the LORD for His mercy, and for His wonderful works to the children of men!
22Anghoehaih hoiah hmuenpaekhaih to tathlang o nasoe loe, a sak ih hmuennawk to anghoehaih hoiah taphong o nasoe.
22And let them offer the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare His works with singing.
23Palongpuinawk hoiah tuipui thungah kacaeh, tuipui nuiah toksah kaminawk loe,
23They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters —
24Angraeng ih hmuenmaenawk hoi a sak ih tui thungah kaom dawnrai hmuennawk to hnuk o.
24These saw the works of the LORD, and His wonders in the deep;
25Anih mah lokpaek naah takhi song moe, tuiphunawk to angthawksak.
25For He commanded, and raised the stormy wind, which lifted up the waves thereof;
26Tuiphunawk loe van khoek to angthawk o tahang moe, tui thungah krak o tathuk let; zitthoh parai pongah, palungboeng o.
26They mounted up to the heaven, they went down to the deeps; their soul melted away because of trouble;
27Nihcae loe ahnuk ahma angthuih o, mu paqui kami baktiah a caeh o moe, poekhaih palung boeng o sut.
27They reeled to and fro, and staggered like a drunken man, and all their wisdom was swallowed up —
28Raihaih tong o naah Angraeng khaeah a hang o, palungboenghaih thung hoiah nihcae to a zaeh.
28They cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and He brought them out of their distresses.
29Anih mah takhi sae to dipsak moe, tuiphunawk to anghaksak.
29He made the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof were still.
30Tui anghak naah nihcae anghoe o; to naah a caeh koeh o haih ahmuen ah nihcae to a zaeh.
30Then were they glad because they were quiet, and He led them unto their desired haven.
31A hoihhaih hoiah kaminawk khaeah sak ih dawnrai hmuennawk pongah, Angraeng khaeah kawnhaih lawk thui o nasoe!
31Let them give thanks unto the LORD for His mercy, and for His wonderful works to the children of men!
32Kaminawk angpophaih ahmuen ah anih to pakoeh oh loe, kacoehtanawk amkhuenghaih ahmuen ah anih to saphaw oh.
32Let them exalt Him also in the assembly of the people, and praise Him in the seat of the elders.
33Anih loe vapuinawk to praezaek ah angcoengsak moe, tuibap ahmuen doeh long karoem ah angcoengsak,
33He turneth rivers into a wilderness, and watersprings into a thirsty ground;
34to ahmuen ah kaom kaminawk ih sethaih pongah, long kahoih prae to thingthai qumpo tacawt thai ai ahmuen ah angcoengsak.
34A fruitful land into a salt waste, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein.
35Praezaek to tuili ah angcoengsak moe, long karoem to tuibap ah angcoengsak.
35He turneth a wilderness into a pool of water, and a dry land into watersprings.
36To ah zok amthlam kaminawk to ohsak moe, angmacae oh haih hanah vangpui to sak o.
36And there He maketh the hungry to dwell, and they establish a city of habitation;
37Lawknawk a tawnh o, misur takha a sak o moe, kating ai athaihnawk to tacawt.
37And sow fields, and plant vineyards, which yield fruits of increase.
38Nihcae to tahamhoihaih a paek moe, pop parai ah angpung o; nihcae ih maitaw hoi tuunawk doeh tamsisak ai.
38He blesseth them also, so that they are multiplied greatly, and suffereth not their cattle to decrease.
39Nihcae loe pacaekthlaekhaih, patangkhanghaih hoi palungsethaih pongah, kami to tamsi o moe, khosak ahnaem o tathuk let.
39Again, they are minished and dwindle away through oppression of evil and sorrow.
40Anih mah Angraeng ih capanawk to azathaih tongsak moe, loklam kaom ai praezaek ah amhetsak.
40He poureth contempt upon princes, and causeth them to wander in the waste, where there is no way.
41Toe amtang kaminawk to patanghaih thung hoiah tapom tahang moe, tuunawk baktiah imthong ah angcoengsak.
41Yet setteth He the needy on high from affliction, and maketh his families like a flock.
42Katoeng kaminawk mah to hmuen to hnuk o naah anghoe o tih; kahoih ai kaminawk boih loe angmacae ih pakha to tamuep o tih.
42The upright see it, and are glad; and all iniquity stoppeth her mouth.
43Palungha kami loe, hae hmuennawk hae poek ueloe, Angraeng amlunghaih to panoek o tih.
43Whoso is wise, let him observe these things, and let them consider the mercies of the LORD.
