1Now these are the generations of the sons of Noah: Shem, Ham, and Japheth; and unto them were sons born after the flood.

2The sons of Japheth: Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.

3And the sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah.
4ลูกชายของยาวานคือเอลีชาห์, ทารชิช, คิททิม และโดดานิม
4And the sons of Javan: Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.
5จากคนเหล่านี้ ชนชาติที่อยู่ตามหมู่เกาะต่าง ๆ แยกย้ายไปอยู่ในดินแดนของตน ตามภาษา ตระกูล และชาติของตน
5Of these were the isles of the nations divided in their lands, every one after his tongue, after their families, in their nations.
6ลูกชายของฮามคือคูช, มิสราอิม, พูต และคานาอัน
6And the sons of Ham: Cush, and Mizraim, and Put, and Canaan.
7ลูกชายของคูชคือเสบา, ฮาวิลาห์, สับทาห์, ราอามาห์ และสับเทคา ลูกชายของราอามาห์คือเชบา และเดดาน
7And the sons of Cush: Seba, and Havilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabteca; and the sons of Raamah: Sheba, and Dedan.
8คูชมีลูกชายชื่อนิมโรด เขาเริ่มเป็นผู้เก่งกล้าบนแผ่นดิน
8And Cush begot Nimrod; he began to be a mighty one in the earth.
9เขาเป็นนายพรานผู้เก่งกล้าต่อหน้าพระยาห์เวห์ จึงมีคำกล่าวว่า“เก่งกล้าเหมือนนิมโรดนายพรานผู้เก่งกล้าต่อหน้าพระยาห์เวห์”
9He was a mighty hunter before the LORD; wherefore it is said: 'Like Nimrod a mighty hunter before the LORD.'
10อาณาจักรแรกของเขาประกอบด้วยบาเบล, เอเรค, อัคคัด และคัลเนห์ในดินแดนชินาร์
10And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.

11Out of that land went forth Asshur, and builded Nineveh, and Rehoboth-ir, and Calah,

12and Resen between Nineveh and Calah — the same is the great city.
13มิสราอิมเป็นบรรพบุรุษของลูดิม, อานามิม, เลฮาบิม, นัฟทูฮิม,
13And Mizraim begot Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim,

14and Pathrusim, and Casluhim — whence went forth the Philistines — and Caphtorim.

15And Canaan begot Zidon his firstborn, and Heth;

17and the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite;
18ชาวอาร์วัด, ชาวเซมาร์ และชาวฮามัท ต่อมาตระกูลต่างๆของชาวคานาอันก็กระจายออกไป
18and the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite; and afterward were the families of the Canaanite spread abroad.
19เขตแดนของชาวคานาอันเริ่มจากไซดอน ไปทางเกราร์จนถึงกาซา แล้วไปทางโสโดม, โกโมราห์, อัดมาห์ และเศโบอิม จนถึงลาชา
19And the border of the Canaanite was from Zidon, as thou goest toward Gerar, unto Gaza; as thou goest toward Sodom and Gomorrah and Admah and Zeboiim, unto Lasha.
20คนเหล่านี้คือลูกหลานของฮาม ตามตระกูล ภาษา ดินแดน และชาติของพวกเขา
20These are the sons of Ham, after their families, after their tongues, in their lands, in their nations.
21เชมพี่ชายของยาเฟทก็มีลูกเช่นกัน เขาเป็นบรรพบุรุษของลูกหลานเอเบอร์ทั้งหมด
21And unto Shem, the father of all the children of Eber, the elder brother of Japheth, to him also were children born.
22ลูกชายของเชมคือเอลาม, อัสชูร์, อาร์ปัคชัด, ลูด และอารัม
22The sons of Shem: Elam, and Asshur, and Arpachshad, and Lud, and Aram.
23ลูกชายของอารัมคืออูส, ฮูล, เกเธอร์ และมาช
23And the sons of Aram: Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Mash.
24อาร์ปัคชัดมีลูกชายชื่อเชลาห์และเชลาห์มีลูกชายชื่อเอเบอร์
24And Arpachshad begot Shelah; and Shelah begot Eber.
25เอเบอร์มีลูกชายสองคน คนหนึ่งชื่อเปเลก เพราะในสมัยของเขาแผ่นดินถูกแบ่งออก พี่น้องของเขาอีกคนชื่อโยกทาน
25And unto Eber were born two sons; the name of the one was Peleg; for in his days was the earth divided; and his brother's name was Joktan.
26โยกทานเป็นพ่อของอัลโมดัด, เชเลฟ, ฮาซาร์มาเวท, เยราห์
26And Joktan begot Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah;
27ฮาโดรัม, อูซาล, ดิคลา
27and Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah;
28โอบาล, อาบีมาเอล, เชบา
28and Obal, and Abimael, and Sheba;
29โอฟีร์, ฮาวิลาห์ และโยบับ ทั้งหมดนี้คือลูกชายของโยกทาน
29and Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab; all these were the sons of Joktan.
30ถิ่นที่อยู่ของพวกเขาแผ่จากเมชาไปทางเซฟาร์จนถึงภูเขาทางตะวันออก
30And their dwelling was from Mesha, as thou goest toward Sephar, unto the mountain of the east.

31These are the sons of Shem, after their families, after their tongues, in their lands, after their nations.
