1พระเจ้าระลึกถึงโนอาห์ รวมทั้งสัตว์ทั้งหมดและปศุสัตว์ทั้งหมดที่อยู่กับเขาในเรือ พระเจ้าให้ลมพัดผ่านแผ่นดิน แล้วน้ำก็ลดลง
1And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that were with him in the ark; and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters assuaged;
2ตาน้ำของห้วงน้ำลึกและช่องฟ้าก็ปิดลงส่วนฝนจากท้องฟ้าก็หยุด
2the fountains also of the deep and the windows of heaven were stopped, and the rain from heaven was restrained.
3น้ำค่อย ๆ ลดจากแผ่นดินอย่างต่อเนื่อง เมื่อครบ 150 วัน ระดับน้ำก็ลดลง
3And the waters returned from off the earth continually; and after the end of a hundred and fifty days the waters decreased.
4ในเดือนที่ 7 วันที่ 17 ของเดือนเรือมาพักอยู่บนเทือกเขาอารารัต
4And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat.
5น้ำลดลงเรื่อยๆจนถึงเดือนที่ 10 ในวันที่ 1 ของเดือนที่ 10 ยอดภูเขาก็ปรากฏให้เห็น
5And the waters decreased continually until the tenth month; in the tenth month, on the first day of the month, were the tops of the mountains seen.
6เมื่อผ่านไป 40 วันโนอาห์เปิดหน้าต่างเรือที่เขาทำไว้
6And it came to pass at the end of forty days, that Noah opened the window of the ark which he had made.
7แล้วปล่อยอีกาออกไป มันบินไปบินกลับจนน้ำบนแผ่นดินแห้งหมด
7And he sent forth a raven, and it went forth to and fro, until the waters were dried up from off the earth.
8จากนั้นเขาปล่อยนกพิราบออกไป เพื่อดูว่าน้ำลดจากพื้นดินแล้วหรือยัง
8And he sent forth a dove from him, to see if the waters were abated from off the face of the ground.
9แต่นกพิราบหาที่ให้เท้าพักไม่ได้จึงบินกลับมาหาเขาที่เรือเพราะน้ำยังปกคลุมผิวแผ่นดินทั้งหมด โนอาห์ยื่นมือออกไปรับมันและนำกลับเข้ามาในเรือ
9But the dove found no rest for the sole of her foot, and she returned unto him to the ark, for the waters were on the face of the whole earth; and he put forth his hand, and took her, and brought her in unto him into the ark.
10เขารออีก 7 วันแล้วปล่อยนกพิราบออกจากเรืออีกครั้ง
10And he stayed yet other seven days; and again he sent forth the dove out of the ark.
11ตอนเย็นนกพิราบกลับมาหาเขา และปรากฏว่ามันคาบใบมะกอกสดที่เพิ่งเด็ดมา โนอาห์จึงรู้ว่าน้ำลดจากแผ่นดินแล้ว
11And the dove came in to him at eventide; and lo in her mouth an olive-leaf freshly plucked; so Noah knew that the waters were abated from off the earth.
12เขารออีก 7 วันแล้วปล่อยนกพิราบออกไปอีก คราวนี้มันไม่กลับมาหาเขาอีก
12And he stayed yet other seven days; and sent forth the dove; and she returned not again unto him any more.
13เมื่อโนอาห์อายุ 601 ปี ในวันที่ 1 ของเดือนที่ 1 น้ำบนแผ่นดินแห้งไป โนอาห์เปิดที่คลุมเรือออก แล้วมองดูก็เห็นว่าพื้นดินแห้งแล้ว
13And it came to pass in the six hundred and first year, in the first month, the first day of the month, the waters were dried up from off the earth; and Noah removed the covering of the ark, and looked, and behold, the face of the ground was dried.
14ในวันที่ 27 ของเดือนที่ 2 แผ่นดินก็แห้งสนิท
14And in the second month, on the seven and twentieth day of the month, was the earth dry.
15พระเจ้ากล่าวกับโนอาห์ว่า
15And God spoke unto Noah, saying:
16“ออกจากเรือเถอะ ทั้งเจ้า ภรรยาของเจ้า ลูกชายของเจ้า และภรรยาของลูกชายเจ้า
16'Go forth from the ark, thou, and thy wife, and thy sons, and thy sons' wives with thee.
17จงนำสิ่งมีชีวิตทุกชนิดที่อยู่กับเจ้าออกมาด้วยทั้งนกปศุสัตว์และสัตว์ทุกชนิดที่คลานไปบนแผ่นดินเพื่อให้พวกมันแพร่พันธุ์อย่างมากบนแผ่นดินออกลูกดกและเพิ่มจำนวนบนแผ่นดิน”
17Bring forth with thee every living thing that is with thee of all flesh, both fowl, and cattle, and every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth; that they may swarm in the earth, and be fruitful, and multiply upon the earth.'
18โนอาห์จึงออกจากเรือ พร้อมกับลูกชายของเขา ภรรยาของเขา และภรรยาของลูกชาย
18And Noah went forth, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him;
19สัตว์ทุกชนิด สัตว์ที่คลานไปตามพื้น และนกทุกชนิด คือทุกสิ่งที่เคลื่อนไหวบนแผ่นดิน ต่างออกจากเรือตามพวกของมัน
19every beast, every creeping thing, and every fowl, whatsoever moveth upon the earth, after their families; went forth out of the ark.
20โนอาห์สร้างแท่นบูชาถวายพระยาห์เวห์แล้วเลือกสัตว์สะอาดทุกชนิดและนกสะอาดทุกชนิดมาถวายเป็นเครื่องบูชาเผาบนแท่น
20And Noah builded an altar unto the LORD; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt-offerings on the altar.
21พระยาห์เวห์ได้กลิ่นหอมที่น่าพอใจ แล้วคิดในใจว่า “เพราะความคิดในใจมนุษย์นั้นชั่วร้ายตั้งแต่ยังเยาว์ เราจะไม่สาปดินอีกเพราะมนุษย์ และจะไม่ทำลายสิ่งมีชีวิตทุกอย่างอีกเหมือนที่เราทำมา
21And the LORD smelled the sweet savour; and the LORD said in His heart: 'I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done.
22ตราบใดที่แผ่นดินยังคงอยู่ ฤดูหว่านและฤดูเก็บเกี่ยว ความหนาวและความร้อน ฤดูร้อนและฤดูหนาว กลางวันและกลางคืนจะไม่หยุด”
22While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.'
