1พระยาห์เวห์กล่าวกับโนอาห์ว่า “เจ้ากับทุกคนในครอบครัวจงเข้าไปในเรือ เพราะเราเห็นว่าเจ้าเป็นคนชอบธรรมในสายตาเราท่ามกลางคนในยุคนี้
1And the LORD said unto Noah: 'Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before Me in this generation.
2สัตว์สะอาดทุกชนิดให้เอาไปกับเจ้าอย่างละ 7 คู่ตัวผู้กับตัวเมีย ส่วนสัตว์ที่ไม่สะอาดให้เอาอย่างละ 2 ตัวตัวผู้กับตัวเมีย
2Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee seven and seven, each with his mate; and of the beasts that are not clean two and two, each with his mate;
3นกบนท้องฟ้าก็เช่นกัน ให้เอาอย่างละ 7 คู่ ตัวผู้กับตัวเมีย เพื่อให้มีเชื้อสายเหลืออยู่ทั่วแผ่นดิน
3of the fowl also of the air, seven and seven, male and female; to keep seed alive upon the face of all the earth.
4อีก 7 วัน เราจะให้ฝนตกบนแผ่นดิน 40 วัน 40 คืน และจะทำลายสิ่งมีชีวิตทุกอย่างที่เราทำขึ้นให้หมดไปจากแผ่นดิน”
4For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I blot out from off the face of the earth.'
5โนอาห์ทำทุกอย่างที่พระยาห์เวห์สั่ง
5And Noah did according unto all that the LORD commanded him.
6โนอาห์อายุ 600 ปีเมื่อน้ำท่วมมาบนแผ่นดิน
6And Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters was upon the earth.
7โนอาห์เข้าไปในเรือพร้อมกับลูกชายของเขา ภรรยาของเขา และภรรยาของลูกชาย เพราะภัยน้ำท่วม
7And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood.
8ทั้งสัตว์สะอาดสัตว์ไม่สะอาดนกและทุกสิ่งที่คลานไปตามดิน
8Of clean beasts, and of beasts that are not clean, and of fowls, and of every thing that creepeth upon the ground,
9ต่างเข้าไปหาโนอาห์ในเรือเป็นคู่ๆตัวผู้กับตัวเมียตามที่พระเจ้าสั่งโนอาห์
9there went in two and two unto Noah into the ark, male and female, as God commanded Noah.
10เมื่อครบ 7 วันน้ำท่วมก็มาบนแผ่นดิน
10And it came to pass after the seven days, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth.
11ในปีที่ 600 ของชีวิตโนอาห์ เดือนที่ 2 วันที่ 17 ของเดือน วันนั้นตาน้ำทุกสายจากห้วงน้ำลึกอันใหญ่หลวงแตกพุ่งขึ้น และช่องบนท้องฟ้าก็เปิดออก
11In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.
12ฝนตกบนแผ่นดิน 40 วัน 40 คืน
12And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights.
13ในวันเดียวกันนั้น โนอาห์กับเชม ฮาม และยาเฟทลูกชายของเขา พร้อมภรรยาของโนอาห์และภรรยาทั้งสามของลูกชาย ก็เข้าไปในเรือ
13In the selfsame day entered Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark;
14ทั้งพวกเขาและสัตว์ทุกชนิดตามชนิดของมัน ปศุสัตว์ทั้งหมดตามชนิดของมัน สัตว์ทุกชนิดที่คลานไปบนแผ่นดินตามชนิดของมัน และนกทุกชนิดทุกประเภทตามชนิดของมัน ต่างก็เข้าไปด้วย
14they, and every beast after its kind, and all the cattle after their kind, and every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth after its kind, and every fowl after its kind, every bird of every sort.
15สิ่งมีชีวิตทุกชนิดที่มีลมหายใจแห่งชีวิตเข้าไปหาโนอาห์ในเรือเป็นคู่ๆ
15And they went in unto Noah into the ark, two and two of all flesh wherein is the breath of life.
16สิ่งที่เข้าไปนั้นเป็นตัวผู้และตัวเมียจากสิ่งมีชีวิตทุกชนิด ตามที่พระเจ้าสั่งโนอาห์ แล้วพระยาห์เวห์ก็ปิดเขาไว้ข้างใน
16And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God commanded him; and the LORD shut him in.
17น้ำท่วมอยู่บนแผ่นดิน 40 วัน น้ำเพิ่มสูงขึ้นยกเรือให้ลอยสูงเหนือแผ่นดิน
17And the flood was forty days upon the earth; and the waters increased, and bore up the ark, and it was lifted up above the earth.
18น้ำสูงขึ้นและเพิ่มมากบนแผ่นดินส่วนเรือก็ลอยอยู่บนผิวน้ำ
18And the waters prevailed, and increased greatly upon the earth; and the ark went upon the face of the waters.
19น้ำสูงขึ้นมากจนภูเขาสูงทุกลูกใต้ท้องฟ้าทั้งหมดถูกน้ำปกคลุม
19And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; and all the high mountains that were under the whole heaven were covered.
20น้ำสูงขึ้นอีก 15 คิวบิตและภูเขาทั้งหลายก็ถูกน้ำปกคลุม
20Fifteen cubits upward did the waters prevail; and the mountains were covered.
21สิ่งมีชีวิตทั้งปวงที่เคลื่อนไหวบนแผ่นดินตายทั้งนกปศุสัตว์สัตว์ต่างๆสัตว์ทุกชนิดที่คลานไปบนแผ่นดินและมนุษย์ทุกคน
21And all flesh perished that moved upon the earth, both fowl, and cattle, and beast, and every swarming thing that swarmeth upon the earth, and every man;
22ทุกสิ่งบนพื้นดินแห้งที่มีลมหายใจของวิญญาณที่ให้ชีวิตอยู่ในจมูก ต่างก็ตาย
22all in whose nostrils was the breath of the spirit of life, whatsoever was in the dry land, died.
23สิ่งมีชีวิตทุกอย่างบนแผ่นดินถูกทำลาย ทั้งมนุษย์ ปศุสัตว์ สัตว์ที่คลานไปตามพื้น และนกบนท้องฟ้า ทั้งหมดถูกทำลายไปจากแผ่นดิน เหลือเพียงโนอาห์กับผู้ที่อยู่กับเขาในเรือ
23And He blotted out every living substance which was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and creeping thing, and fowl of the heaven; and they were blotted out from the earth; and Noah only was left, and they that were with him in the ark.
24น้ำท่วมแผ่นดินอยู่ 150 วัน
24And the waters prevailed upon the earth a hundred and fifty days.
