1 Mojžíšova 10

Kralice Bible (1613)
JPS Tanakh (Jewish Publication Society, 1917)
1Now these are the generations of the sons of Noah: Shem, Ham, and Japheth; and unto them were sons born after the flood.
2Synové Jáfetovi: Gomer a Magog, a Madai, a Javan, a Tubal, a Mešech, a Tiras.
2The sons of Japheth: Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.
3Synové pak Gomerovi: Ascenez, Rifat, a Togorma.
3And the sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah.
4Synové pak Javanovi: Elisa a Tarsis, Cetim a Dodanim.
4And the sons of Javan: Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.
5Of these were the isles of the nations divided in their lands, every one after his tongue, after their families, in their nations.
6Synové pak Chamovi: Chus a Mizraim a Put a Kanán.
6And the sons of Ham: Cush, and Mizraim, and Put, and Canaan.
7A synové Chusovi: Sába, Evila, a Sabata, a Regma, a Sabatacha. Synové pak Regmovi: Sába a Dedan.
7And the sons of Cush: Seba, and Havilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabteca; and the sons of Raamah: Sheba, and Dedan.
8And Cush begot Nimrod; he began to be a mighty one in the earth.
9To byl silný lovec před Hospodinem; protož se říká: Jako Nimrod silný lovec před Hospodinem.
9He was a mighty hunter before the LORD; wherefore it is said: 'Like Nimrod a mighty hunter before the LORD.'
10And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.
11Z země té vyšel do Assur, kdežto vystavěl Ninive, a Rohobot město, a Chále,
11Out of that land went forth Asshur, and builded Nineveh, and Rehoboth-ir, and Calah,
12A Rezen mezi Ninive a mezi Chále; toť jest město veliké.
12and Resen between Nineveh and Calah — the same is the great city.
13Mizraim pak zplodil Ludim a Anamim, a Laabim, a Neftuim,
13And Mizraim begot Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim,
14A Fetruzim, a Chasluim, (odkudž pošli Filistinští) a Kafturim.
14and Pathrusim, and Casluhim — whence went forth the Philistines — and Caphtorim.
15Kanán pak zplodil Sidona prvorozeného svého, a Het,
15And Canaan begot Zidon his firstborn, and Heth;
16A Jebuzea, a Amorea, a Gergezea,
16and the Jebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgashite;
17A Hevea, a Aracea, a Sinea,
17and the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite;
18A Aradia, a Samarea, a Amatea; a potom odtud rozprostřely se čeledi Kananejských.
18and the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite; and afterward were the families of the Canaanite spread abroad.
19A bylo pomezí Kananejských od Sidonu, když jdeš k Gerar až do Gázy; a odtud když jdeš k Sodomě a Gomoře, a Adama a Seboim až do Lázy.
19And the border of the Canaanite was from Zidon, as thou goest toward Gerar, unto Gaza; as thou goest toward Sodom and Gomorrah and Admah and Zeboiim, unto Lasha.
20These are the sons of Ham, after their families, after their tongues, in their lands, in their nations.
21And unto Shem, the father of all the children of Eber, the elder brother of Japheth, to him also were children born.
22A tito jsou synové Semovi: Elam, a Assur, a Arfaxad, a Lud, a Aram.
22The sons of Shem: Elam, and Asshur, and Arpachshad, and Lud, and Aram.
23Synové pak Aramovi: Hus, a Hul, a Geter, a Mas.
23And the sons of Aram: Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Mash.
24Potom Arfaxad zplodil Sále; a Sále zplodil Hebera.
24And Arpachshad begot Shelah; and Shelah begot Eber.
25And unto Eber were born two sons; the name of the one was Peleg; for in his days was the earth divided; and his brother's name was Joktan.
26Jektan pak zplodil Elmodada, a Salefa, a Azarmota, a Járe,
26And Joktan begot Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah;
27A Adoráma, a Uzala, a Dikla,
27and Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah;
28A Obale, a Abimahele, a Sebai,
28and Obal, and Abimael, and Sheba;
29A Ofira, a Evila, a Jobaba; všickni ti jsou synové Jektanovi.
29and Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab; all these were the sons of Joktan.
30And their dwelling was from Mesha, as thou goest toward Sephar, unto the mountain of the east.
31These are the sons of Shem, after their families, after their tongues, in their lands, after their nations.
32These are the families of the sons of Noah, after their generations, in their nations; and of these were the nations divided in the earth after the flood.
