1BOOK III A Psalm of Asaph. Surely God is good to Israel, even to such as are pure in heart.
1Đức Chúa Trời thật đãi Y-sơ-ra-ên cách tốt lành, Tức là những người có lòng trong sạch.
2But as for me, my feet were almost gone; my steps had well nigh slipped.
2Còn về phần tôi, chân tôi đã gần vấp, Xuýt chút bước tôi phải trợt.
3For I was envious at the arrogant, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.
3Vì khi tôi thấy sự hưng thạnh của kẻ ác, Thì có lòng ganh ghét kẻ kiêu ngạo.
4For there are no pangs at their death, and their body is sound.
4Vì trong cơn chết chúng nó chẳng bị đau đớn; Sức lực của chúng nó vẫn đầy đủ.
5In the trouble of man they are not; neither are they plagued like men.
5Chúng nó chẳng bị nạn khổ như người khác, Cũng không bị tai họa như người đời.
6Therefore pride is as a chain about their neck; violence covereth them as a garment.
6Bởi cớ ấy sự kiêu ngạo làm cây kiền cho cổ chúng nó; Sự hung bạo bao phủ chúng nó như cái áo.
7Their eyes stand forth from fatness; they are gone beyond the imaginations of their heart.
7Mắt chúng nó lộ ra trong mỡ; Tư tưởng lòng chúng nó tuôn tràn ra.
8They scoff, and in wickedness utter oppression; they speak as if there were none on high.
8Chúng nó nhạo báng, nói về sự hà hiếp cách hung ác: Chúng nó nói cách cao k”.
9They have set their mouth against the heavens, and their tongue walketh through the earth.
9Miệng thì nói hành thiên thượng, Còn lưỡi lại phao vu thế gian.
10Therefore His people return hither; and waters of fullness are drained out by them.
10Vì cớ ấy dân sự Ngài xây về hướng đó, Và chúng nó uống nước cạn chén.
11And they say: 'How doth God know? And is there knowledge in the Most High?'
11Chúng nó rằng: Làm sao Đức Chúa Trời biết được? Há có sự tri thức nơi Đấng Chí cao sao?
12Behold, such are the wicked; and they that are always at ease increase riches.
12Kìa là những kẻ ác, Chúng nó bình an vô sự luôn luôn, nên của cải chúng nó thêm lên.
13Surely in vain have I cleansed my heart, and washed my hands in innocency;
13Tôi đã làm cho lòng tôi tinh sạch, Và rửa tay tôi trong sự vô tội, việc ấy thật lấy làm luống công,
14For all the day have I been plagued, and my chastisement came every morning.
14Vì hằng ngày tôi phải gian nan, Mỗi buổi mai tôi bị sửa phạt.
15If I had said: 'I will speak thus', behold, I had been faithless to the generation of Thy children.
15Nếu tôi có nói rằng: Ta sẽ nói như vậy; Aét tôi đã phạm bất trung cùng dòng dõi con cái Chúa.
16And when I pondered how I might know this, it was wearisome in mine eyes;
16Khi tôi suy gẫm để hiểu biết điều ấy, Bèn thấy là việc cực nhọc quá cho tôi,
17Until I entered into the sanctuary of God, and considered their end.
17Cho đến khi tôi vào nơi thánh của Đức Chúa Trời, Suy lượng về sự cuối cùng của chúng nó.
18Surely Thou settest them in slippery places; Thou hurlest them down to utter ruin.
18Chúa thật đặt chúng nó tại nơi trơn trợt, Khiến cho chúng nó hư nát.
19How are they become a desolation in a moment! They are wholly consumed by terrors.
19Uûa kìa, chúng nó bị hủy diệt trong một lát! Chúng nó vì kinh khiếp mà phải tiêu hao hết trọi.
20As a dream when one awaketh, so, O Lord, when Thou arousest Thyself, Thou wilt despise their semblance.
20Hỡi Chúa, người ta khinh dể chiêm bao khi tỉnh thức thể nào, Chúa khi tỉnh thức cũng sẽ khinh dể hình dạng chúng nó thể ấy.
21For my heart was in a ferment, and I was pricked in my reins.
21Khi lòng tôi chua xót, Và dạ tôi xôn xao,
22But I was brutish, and ignorant; I was as a beast before Thee.
22Thì bấy giờ tôi ở ngu muội, chẳng hiểu biết gì; Trước mặt Chúa tôi ở khác nào một thú vật vậy.
23Nevertheless I am continually with Thee; Thou holdest my right hand.
23Song tôi cứ ở cùng Chúa luôn luôn: Chúa đã nắm lấy tay hữu tôi.
24Thou wilt guide me with Thy counsel, and afterward receive me with glory.
24Chúa sẽ dùng sự khuyên dạy mà dẫn dắt tôi, Rồi sau tiếp rước tôi trong sự vinh hiển.
25Whom have I in heaven but Thee? And beside Thee I desire none upon earth.
25ỳ trên trời tôi có ai trừ ra Chúa? Còn dưới đất tôi chẳng ước ao người nào khác hơn Chúa.
26My flesh and my heart faileth; but God is the rock of my heart and my portion for ever.
26Thịt và lòng tôi bị tiêu hao; Nhưng Đức Chúa Trời là sức lực của lòng tôi, và là phần tôi đến đời đời.
27For, lo, they that go far from Thee shall perish; Thou dost destroy all them that go astray from Thee.
27Vì, kìa, những kẻ xa Chúa sẽ hư mất; Chúa sẽ hủy diệt hết thảy kẻ nào thông dâm, xây bỏ Chúa.
28But as for me, the nearness of God is my good; I have made the Lord GOD my refuge, that I may tell of all Thy works.
28Nhưng lấy làm tốt thay cho tôi đến gần Đức Chúa Trời; Tôi nhờ Chúa Giê-hô-va làm nơi nương náu mình, Đặng thuật lại hết thảy các công việc Ngài.
