1Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said:
1บิลดัดชาวชูอาห์จึงตอบว่า
2How long will ye lay snares for words? Consider, and afterwards we will speak.
2“พวกคุณจะเที่ยวหาคำพูดอีกนานแค่ไหน? คิดให้ดี แล้วเราค่อยพูดกัน
3Wherefore are we counted as beasts, and reputed dull in your sight?
3ทำไมพวกเราถูกนับเป็นสัตว์ กลายเป็นสิ่งไม่สะอาดในสายตาพวกคุณ?
4Thou that tearest thyself in thine anger, shall the earth be forsaken for thee? Or shall the rock be removed out of its place?
4คุณที่ฉีกตัวเองด้วยความโกรธ แผ่นดินจะต้องถูกทิ้งร้างเพื่อคุณหรือ? ก้อนหินจะต้องย้ายจากที่หรือ?
5Yea, the light of the wicked shall be put out, and the spark of his fire shall not shine.
5“แสงของคนชั่วจะดับแน่นอน ประกายไฟของเขาจะไม่ส่อง
6The light shall be dark in his tent, and his lamp over him shall be put out.
6แสงในเต็นท์จะมืดลง ตะเกียงเหนือเขาจะดับ
7The steps of his strength shall be straitened, and his own counsel shall cast him down.
7ก้าวที่แข็งแรงของเขาจะสั้นลง แผนของเขาเองจะทำให้เขาล้ม
8For he is cast into a net by his own feet, and he walketh upon the toils.
8เท้าของเขาเองพาเขาเข้าไปในตาข่าย เขาเดินเข้าไปในช่องตาข่าย
9A gin shall take him by the heel, and a snare shall lay hold on him.
9บ่วงจะจับส้นเท้าเขา กับดักจะจับเขาไว้
10A noose is hid for him in the ground, and a trap for him in the way.
10มีบ่วงซ่อนในดินเพื่อดักเขา มีกับดักวางตามทาง
11Terrors shall overwhelm him on every side, and shall entrap him at his feet.
11สิ่งน่ากลัวจะทำให้เขาหวาดผวารอบด้าน ไล่จี้ส้นเท้าเขา
12His trouble shall be ravenous, and calamity shall be ready for his fall.
12กำลังของเขาจะอดอยาก ภัยพิบัติพร้อมอยู่ข้างตัว
13It shall devour the members of his body, yea, the first-born of death shall devour his members.
13ส่วนต่างๆ ของร่างกายจะถูกกิน ลูกหัวปีของความตายจะกินส่วนต่างๆ ของร่างกายเขา
14That wherein he trusteth shall be plucked out of his tent; and he shall be brought to the king of terrors.
14เขาจะถูกถอนจากความปลอดภัยในเต็นท์ ถูกนำไปหากษัตริย์แห่งความน่าสะพรึงกลัว
15There shall dwell in his tent that which is none of his; brimstone shall be scattered upon his habitation.
15สิ่งที่ไม่ใช่ของเขาจะมาอยู่ในเต็นท์ กำมะถันจะถูกโปรยบนที่อยู่
16His roots shall dry up beneath, and above shall his branch wither.
16รากข้างล่างจะแห้ง กิ่งข้างบนจะถูกตัด
17His remembrance shall perish from the earth, and he shall have no name abroad.
17ความทรงจำถึงเขาจะหายไปจากแผ่นดิน จะไม่มีใครเอ่ยชื่อเขาตามถนน
18He shall be driven from light into darkness, and chased out of the world.
18เขาจะถูกขับจากแสงเข้าสู่ความมืด ถูกไล่ออกจากโลก
19He shall have neither son nor son's son among his people, nor any remaining in his dwellings.
19เขาจะไม่มีทั้งลูกชายและหลานชายในหมู่ชนชาติของตน ไม่มีใครเหลืออยู่ในที่ที่เขาเคยอาศัย
20They that come after shall be astonished at his day, as they that went before are affrighted.
20คนรุ่นหลังจะตกตะลึงกับวันของเขา เหมือนคนรุ่นก่อนที่หวาดกลัว
21Surely such are the dwellings of the wicked, and this is the place of him that knoweth not God.
21ที่อยู่ของคนไม่เที่ยงธรรมเป็นเช่นนี้แน่ นี่คือที่ของคนที่ไม่รู้จักพระเจ้า”
