1Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said:
1И отвечал Вилдад Савхеянин и сказал:
2How long will ye lay snares for words? Consider, and afterwards we will speak.
2когда же положите вы конец таким речам? обдумайте, и потом будем говорить.
3Wherefore are we counted as beasts, and reputed dull in your sight?
3Зачем считаться нам за животных и быть униженными в собственных глазах ваших?
4Thou that tearest thyself in thine anger, shall the earth be forsaken for thee? Or shall the rock be removed out of its place?
4О ты, раздирающий душу твою в гневе твоем! Неужели для тебя опустеть земле, и скале сдвинуться с места своего?
5Yea, the light of the wicked shall be put out, and the spark of his fire shall not shine.
5Да, свет у беззаконного потухнет, и не останется искры от огня его.
6The light shall be dark in his tent, and his lamp over him shall be put out.
6Померкнет свет в шатре его, и светильник его угаснет над ним.
7The steps of his strength shall be straitened, and his own counsel shall cast him down.
7Сократятся шаги могущества его, и низложит его собственный замысел его,
8For he is cast into a net by his own feet, and he walketh upon the toils.
8ибо он попадет в сеть своими ногами и по тенетам ходить будет.
9A gin shall take him by the heel, and a snare shall lay hold on him.
9Петля зацепит за ногу его, и грабитель уловит его.
10A noose is hid for him in the ground, and a trap for him in the way.
10Скрытно разложены по земле силки для него и западни на дороге.
11Terrors shall overwhelm him on every side, and shall entrap him at his feet.
11Со всех сторон будут страшить его ужасы и заставят его бросаться туда и сюда.
12His trouble shall be ravenous, and calamity shall be ready for his fall.
12Истощится от голода сила его, и гибель готова, сбоку у него.
13It shall devour the members of his body, yea, the first-born of death shall devour his members.
13Съест члены тела его, съест члены его первенец смерти.
14That wherein he trusteth shall be plucked out of his tent; and he shall be brought to the king of terrors.
14Изгнана будет из шатра его надежда его, и это низведет его к царю ужасов.
15There shall dwell in his tent that which is none of his; brimstone shall be scattered upon his habitation.
15Поселятся в шатре его, потому что он уже не его; жилище его посыпано будет серою.
16His roots shall dry up beneath, and above shall his branch wither.
16Снизу подсохнут корни его, и сверху увянут ветви его.
17His remembrance shall perish from the earth, and he shall have no name abroad.
17Память о нем исчезнет с земли, и имени его не будет на площади.
18He shall be driven from light into darkness, and chased out of the world.
18Изгонят его из света во тьму и сотрут его с лица земли.
19He shall have neither son nor son's son among his people, nor any remaining in his dwellings.
19Ни сына его, ни внука не будет в народе его, и никого не останется в жилищах его.
20They that come after shall be astonished at his day, as they that went before are affrighted.
20О дне его ужаснутся потомки, и современники будут объяты трепетом.
21Surely such are the dwellings of the wicked, and this is the place of him that knoweth not God.
21Таковы жилища беззаконного, и таково место того, кто не знает Бога.
