1Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said:
1บิลดัดชาวชูอาห์จึงตอบว่า
2Dominion and fear are with Him; He maketh peace in His high places.
2“อำนาจปกครองและความน่าเกรงกลัวอยู่กับพระองค์ พระองค์ทำให้ที่สูงของพระองค์สงบ
3Is there any number of His armies? And upon whom doth not His light arise?
3กองทัพของพระองค์นับได้หรือ? มีใครบ้างที่แสงของพระองค์ไม่ขึ้นส่อง?
4How then can man be just with God? Or how can he be clean that is born of a woman?
4แล้วมนุษย์จะเป็นฝ่ายถูกต่อหน้าพระเจ้าได้อย่างไร? คนเกิดจากผู้หญิงจะสะอาดได้อย่างไร?
5Behold, even the moon hath no brightness, and the stars are not pure in His sight;
5ดูสิ แม้ดวงจันทร์ก็ไม่สว่าง ดวงดาวก็ไม่บริสุทธิ์ในสายตาพระองค์
6How much less man, that is a worm! and the son of man, that is a maggot!
6ยิ่งมนุษย์ที่เป็นหนอน ลูกของมนุษย์ที่เป็นหนอน จะเป็นอย่างไร!”
