1Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said:
1ויען בלדד השחי ויאמר׃
2Dominion and fear are with Him; He maketh peace in His high places.
2המשל ופחד עמו עשה שלום במרומיו׃
3Is there any number of His armies? And upon whom doth not His light arise?
3היש מספר לגדודיו ועל מי לא יקום אורהו׃
4How then can man be just with God? Or how can he be clean that is born of a woman?
4ומה יצדק אנוש עם אל ומה יזכה ילוד אשה׃
5Behold, even the moon hath no brightness, and the stars are not pure in His sight;
5הן עד ירח ולא יאהיל וכוכבים לא זכו בעיניו׃
6How much less man, that is a worm! and the son of man, that is a maggot!
6אף כי אנוש רמה ובן אדם תולעה׃
