1Moreover Elihu answered and said:
1เอลีฮูตอบต่อไปว่า
2Thinkest thou this to be thy right, or sayest thou: 'I am righteousness before God',
2“คุณคิดว่านี่เป็นสิทธิของคุณหรือ หรือคุณพูดว่า ‘ความเที่ยงธรรมของผมมากกว่าของพระเจ้า’
3That thou inquirest: 'What advantage will it be unto Thee?' And: 'What profit shall I have, more than if I had sinned?'
3จึงถามว่า ‘จะมีประโยชน์อะไรแก่คุณ? ผมจะได้ประโยชน์มากกว่าการทำบาปอย่างไร?’
4I will give thee answer, and thy companions with thee.
4ผมจะตอบคุณ และเพื่อนที่อยู่กับคุณ
5Look unto the heavens, and see; and behold the skies, which are higher than thou.
5มองฟ้าสวรรค์สิ มองท้องฟ้าที่สูงกว่าคุณ
6If thou hast sinned, what doest thou against Him? And if thy transgressions be multiplied, what doest thou unto Him?
6ถ้าคุณทำบาป จะกระทบพระองค์อย่างไร? ถ้าการฝ่าฝืนเพิ่มขึ้น คุณทำอะไรแก่พระองค์?
7If thou be righteous, what givest thou Him? Or what receiveth He of thy hand?
7ถ้าคุณเที่ยงธรรม คุณให้อะไรพระองค์? พระองค์รับอะไรจากมือคุณ?
8Thy wickedness concerneth a man as thou art; and thy righteousness a son of man.
8ความชั่วของคุณอาจทำร้ายมนุษย์เหมือนคุณ ความเที่ยงธรรมของคุณอาจให้ประโยชน์แก่ลูกของมนุษย์
9By reason of the multitude of oppressions they cry out; they cry for help by reason of the arm of the mighty.
9“พวกเขาร้องเพราะถูกกดขี่มากมาย ร้องขอความช่วยเหลือเพราะแขนของผู้มีอำนาจ
10But none saith: 'Where is God my Maker, who giveth songs in the night;
10แต่ไม่มีใครพูดว่า ‘พระเจ้าผู้สร้างผมอยู่ที่ไหน ผู้ให้เพลงในยามค่ำคืน
11Who teacheth us more than the beasts of the earth, and maketh us wiser than the fowls of heaven?'
11ผู้สอนเรามากกว่าสัตว์บนแผ่นดิน ให้เรามีปัญญามากกว่านกบนฟ้า?’
12There they cry, but none giveth answer, because of the pride of evil men.
12ที่นั่นพวกเขาร้อง แต่ไม่มีใครตอบ เพราะความหยิ่งของคนชั่ว
13Surely God will not hear vanity, neither will the Almighty regard it.
13พระเจ้าจะไม่ฟังเสียงร้องที่ว่างเปล่าแน่ พระผู้ทรงฤทธิ์จะไม่ใส่ใจ
14Yea, when thou sayest thou canst not see Him — the cause is before Him; therefore wait thou for Him.
14ยิ่งเมื่อคุณพูดว่ามองไม่เห็นพระองค์ จะเป็นอย่างไร? คดีอยู่ต่อหน้าพระองค์ คุณจงรอพระองค์!
15And now, is it for nought that He punished in His anger? And hath He not full knowledge of arrogance?
15แต่ตอนนี้ เพราะพระองค์ยังไม่ได้ลงโทษด้วยความโกรธ ไม่ได้ใส่ใจความหยิ่งยโสมากนัก
16But Job doth open his mouth in vanity; he multiplieth words without knowledge.
16โยบจึงเปิดปากพูดว่างเปล่า พูดมากขึ้นโดยไม่มีความรู้”
