1Moreover Elihu answered and said:
1以利户 又说：
2Thinkest thou this to be thy right, or sayest thou: 'I am righteousness before God',
2你以为有理， 或以为你的公义胜于 神的公义，
3That thou inquirest: 'What advantage will it be unto Thee?' And: 'What profit shall I have, more than if I had sinned?'
3才说这与我有什么益处？ 我不犯罪 比犯罪有什么好处呢？
4I will give thee answer, and thy companions with thee.
4我要回答你和在你这里的朋友。
5Look unto the heavens, and see; and behold the skies, which are higher than thou.
5你要向天观看， 瞻望那高于你的穹苍。
6If thou hast sinned, what doest thou against Him? And if thy transgressions be multiplied, what doest thou unto Him?
6你若犯罪，能使 神受何害呢？ 你的过犯加增，能使 神受何损呢？
7If thou be righteous, what givest thou Him? Or what receiveth He of thy hand?
7你若是公义，还能加增他什么呢？ 他从你手里还接受什么呢？
8Thy wickedness concerneth a man as thou art; and thy righteousness a son of man.
8你的过恶 或能害 你这类的人； 你的公义 或能叫 世人 得益处 。
9By reason of the multitude of oppressions they cry out; they cry for help by reason of the arm of the mighty.
9人因多受欺压就哀求， 因受能者的辖制便求救，
10But none saith: 'Where is God my Maker, who giveth songs in the night;
10却无人说：造我的 神在哪里？ 他使人夜间歌唱，
11Who teacheth us more than the beasts of the earth, and maketh us wiser than the fowls of heaven?'
11教训我们胜于地上的走兽， 使我们有聪明胜于空中的飞鸟。
12There they cry, but none giveth answer, because of the pride of evil men.
12他们在那里， 因恶人的骄傲呼求，却无人答应。
13Surely God will not hear vanity, neither will the Almighty regard it.
13虚妄的 呼求 ， 神必不垂听； 全能者也必不眷顾。
14Yea, when thou sayest thou canst not see Him — the cause is before Him; therefore wait thou for Him.
14何况你说，你不得见他； 你的案件在他面前，你等候他吧。
15And now, is it for nought that He punished in His anger? And hath He not full knowledge of arrogance?
15但如今因他未曾发怒降罚， 也不甚理会狂傲，
16But Job doth open his mouth in vanity; he multiplieth words without knowledge.
16所以 约伯 开口说虚妄的话， 多发无知识的言语。
