1จงสรรเสริญพระยาห์เวห์! ใจของฉันเอ๋ย จงสรรเสริญพระยาห์เวห์

1Praise ye the LORD . Praise the LORD , O my soul.

2ตราบเท่าที่มีชีวิต ฉันจะสรรเสริญพระยาห์เวห์ ตราบเท่าที่ฉันยังอยู่ จะร้องเพลงสรรเสริญพระเจ้าของฉัน

2While I live will I praise the LORD : I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being.

3อย่าวางใจในขุนนาง หรือในมนุษย์ผู้ไม่อาจช่วยให้รอดได้

3Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help.

4เมื่อลมหายใจของเขาจากไป เขาก็กลับสู่ดิน ในวันนั้นเอง ความคิดทั้งสิ้นของเขาก็สูญสลาย

4His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish.

5คนที่มีพระเจ้าของยาโคบเป็นผู้ช่วยย่อมเป็นสุข คนที่ฝากความหวังไว้กับพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของตน

5Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God:

6ผู้ทรงสร้างฟ้าสวรรค์และแผ่นดินโลก ทะเล และทุกสิ่งที่อยู่ในนั้น ผู้ทรงรักษาความสัตย์จริงตลอดไป

6Which made heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that therein is: which keepeth truth for ever:

7ผู้ทรงให้ความยุติธรรมแก่คนที่ถูกกดขี่ และประทานอาหารแก่คนหิวโหย พระยาห์เวห์ทรงปลดปล่อยนักโทษ

7Which executeth judgment for the oppressed: which giveth food to the hungry. The LORD looseth the prisoners:

8พระยาห์เวห์ทรงเปิดตาของคนตาบอด พระยาห์เวห์ทรงพยุงคนที่ค้อมลงให้ลุกขึ้น พระยาห์เวห์ทรงรักผู้ชอบธรรม

8The LORD openeth the eyes of the blind: the LORD raiseth them that are bowed down: the LORD loveth the righteous:

9พระยาห์เวห์ทรงคุ้มครองคนต่างถิ่น ทรงพยุงเด็กกำพร้าพ่อและหญิงม่าย แต่ทรงทำให้หนทางของคนชั่วพังพินาศ

9The LORD preserveth the strangers; he relieveth the fatherless and widow: but the way of the wicked he turneth upside down.

10พระยาห์เวห์จะทรงครองราชย์ตลอดไป ศิโยนเอ๋ย พระเจ้าของเจ้าจะทรงครองราชย์ทุกชั่วอายุ จงสรรเสริญพระยาห์เวห์!

10The LORD shall reign for ever, even thy God, O Zion, unto all generations. Praise ye the LORD .
