1เปาโล อัครทูตของพระคริสต์เยซูตามพระประสงค์ของพระเจ้า และทิโมธีพี่น้องของเรา
1Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timotheus our brother,
2ถึงผู้บริสุทธิ์และพี่น้องผู้ซื่อสัตย์ในพระคริสต์ที่เมืองโคโลสี ขอพระคุณและสันติสุขมีแก่พวกคุณจากพระเจ้าพระบิดาของเรา และจากพระเยซูคริสต์องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า
2To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ which are at Colosse: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
3เราขอบคุณพระเจ้า ผู้เป็นพระบิดาของพระเยซูคริสต์องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าของเรา และอธิษฐานเพื่อพวกคุณเสมอ
3We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you,
4เพราะเราได้ยินถึงความเชื่อของพวกคุณในพระคริสต์เยซู และความรักที่พวกคุณมีต่อผู้บริสุทธิ์ทุกคน
4Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which ye have to all the saints,
5เพราะความหวังที่เก็บไว้สำหรับพวกคุณในสวรรค์ ซึ่งพวกคุณเคยได้ยินมาก่อนจากถ้อยคำแห่งความจริง คือข่าวดี
5For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel;
6ข่าวดีนี้มาถึงพวกคุณแล้ว และกำลังเกิดผลและเติบโตไปทั่วโลก เช่นเดียวกับที่เกิดขึ้นในหมู่พวกคุณ ตั้งแต่วันที่พวกคุณได้ยินและรู้จักพระคุณของพระเจ้าอย่างแท้จริง
6Which is come unto you, as it is in all the world; and bringeth forth fruit, as it doth also in you, since the day ye heard of it , and knew the grace of God in truth:
7พวกคุณได้เรียนรู้เรื่องนี้จากเอปาฟรัส เพื่อนร่วมรับใช้ที่รักของเรา เขาเป็นผู้รับใช้ที่ซื่อสัตย์ของพระคริสต์เพื่อพวกคุณ
7As ye also learned of Epaphras our dear fellowservant, who is for you a faithful minister of Christ;
8และเขายังเล่าให้เราฟังถึงความรักของพวกคุณในพระวิญญาณ
8Who also declared unto us your love in the Spirit.
9ด้วยเหตุนี้ ตั้งแต่วันที่เราได้ยินเรื่องนี้ เราก็ไม่หยุดอธิษฐานและวิงวอนเพื่อพวกคุณ ขอให้พวกคุณเต็มเปี่ยมด้วยความรู้ถึงพระประสงค์ของพระองค์ พร้อมด้วยปัญญาและความเข้าใจทางวิญญาณทุกด้าน
9For this cause we also, since the day we heard it , do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
10เพื่อพวกคุณจะดำเนินชีวิตอย่างสมกับองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า และเป็นที่พอใจของพระองค์ในทุกด้าน โดยเกิดผลในงานดีทุกอย่าง และเติบโตขึ้นในการรู้จักพระเจ้า
10That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
11ขอให้พวกคุณเข้มแข็งด้วยพลังทุกด้าน ตามกำลังแห่งพระสิริของพระองค์ เพื่อจะอดทนและพากเพียรได้อย่างเต็มที่ด้วยความยินดี
11Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;
12และขอบคุณพระบิดา ผู้ทำให้เราพร้อมที่จะมีส่วนในมรดกของผู้บริสุทธิ์ในความสว่าง
12Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
13พระองค์ช่วยเราให้พ้นจากอำนาจของความมืด และย้ายเราเข้าสู่อาณาจักรของพระบุตรที่พระองค์รัก
13Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
14ในพระบุตรนั้น เราได้รับการไถ่ คือการยกโทษบาปของเรา
14In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
15พระองค์เป็นภาพของพระเจ้าผู้ที่ไม่มีใครมองเห็น เป็นบุตรหัวปีของสิ่งสร้างทั้งปวง
15Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
16เพราะพระองค์สร้างทุกสิ่ง ทั้งในสวรรค์และบนแผ่นดินโลก สิ่งที่มองเห็นและสิ่งที่มองไม่เห็น ไม่ว่าจะเป็นบัลลังก์ อำนาจปกครอง บรรดาผู้ครอง หรือผู้มีอำนาจ ทุกสิ่งถูกสร้างขึ้นผ่านพระองค์และเพื่อพระองค์
16For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
17พระองค์มีอยู่ก่อนทุกสิ่ง และทุกสิ่งยึดโยงอยู่ด้วยกันในพระองค์
17And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
18พระองค์เป็นศีรษะของร่างกาย คือประชาคม พระองค์เป็นจุดเริ่มต้น เป็นบุตรหัวปีจากบรรดาผู้ตาย เพื่อพระองค์จะเป็นผู้สูงสุดในทุกสิ่ง
18And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
19เพราะความเต็มเปี่ยมทั้งสิ้นพอใจที่จะดำรงอยู่ในพระองค์
19For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;
20และความเต็มเปี่ยมนั้นพอใจที่จะทำให้ทุกสิ่งคืนดีกับตนเองโดยพระองค์ ไม่ว่าสิ่งบนแผ่นดินโลกหรือสิ่งในสวรรค์ โดยพระองค์ได้สร้างสันติสุขด้วยเลือดบนกางเขนของพระองค์
20And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say , whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
21ครั้งหนึ่งพวกคุณเคยห่างเหินและเป็นศัตรูในความคิด ท่ามกลางการกระทำอันชั่วร้ายของพวกคุณ
21And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled
22แต่บัดนี้พระองค์ได้ทำให้พวกคุณคืนดีกับพระองค์แล้ว ผ่านความตายในร่างกายที่เป็นเนื้อหนังของพระคริสต์ เพื่อจะนำพวกคุณมาอยู่ต่อหน้าพระองค์อย่างบริสุทธิ์ ไม่มีข้อบกพร่อง และไม่มีที่ติ
22In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:
23หากพวกคุณยังคงอยู่ในความเชื่ออย่างมั่นคง มีรากฐานแน่นหนา และไม่ถูกดึงออกจากความหวังของข่าวดีที่พวกคุณได้ยิน ข่าวดีนี้ได้รับการประกาศแก่สิ่งสร้างทั้งปวงใต้ฟ้า และข้าพเจ้าเปาโลได้เป็นผู้รับใช้ของข่าวดีนี้
23If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;
24บัดนี้ข้าพเจ้าชื่นชมยินดีในความทุกข์ที่รับเพื่อพวกคุณ และในเนื้อหนังของข้าพเจ้า ข้าพเจ้ากำลังเติมเต็มส่วนที่ยังขาดอยู่ของความทุกข์ยากของพระคริสต์ เพื่อร่างกายของพระองค์ ซึ่งก็คือประชาคม
24Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body’s sake, which is the church:
25ข้าพเจ้าได้เป็นผู้รับใช้ของประชาคม ตามหน้าที่ดูแลที่พระเจ้ามอบแก่ข้าพเจ้าเพื่อพวกคุณ เพื่อทำให้ถ้อยคำของพระเจ้าสำเร็จครบถ้วน
25Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God;
26คือความลับที่ซ่อนเร้นมาตลอดหลายยุคและหลายชั่วอายุคน แต่บัดนี้ความลับนั้นได้รับการเปิดเผยแก่ผู้บริสุทธิ์ของพระองค์แล้ว
26Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:
27พระเจ้าพอใจให้ผู้บริสุทธิ์เหล่านี้รู้ว่า ความลับนี้ท่ามกลางคนต่างชาติมีความมั่งคั่งแห่งพระสิริเพียงใด นั่นคือพระคริสต์อยู่ในพวกคุณ ซึ่งเป็นความหวังแห่งพระสิริ
27To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
28เราประกาศพระองค์ ตักเตือนทุกคน และสอนทุกคนด้วยปัญญาทุกอย่าง เพื่อเราจะนำทุกคนมาให้อยู่ในความสมบูรณ์ในพระคริสต์เยซู
28Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:
29เพื่อสิ่งนี้ ข้าพเจ้าจึงตรากตรำและต่อสู้ ตามการทำงานของพระองค์ที่สำแดงพลังอยู่ในตัวข้าพเจ้า
29Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.
