1เปาโลและทิโมธี ผู้รับใช้ของพระเยซูคริสต์ ถึงผู้บริสุทธิ์ทุกคนในพระคริสต์เยซูที่เมืองฟีลิปปี พร้อมกับผู้ดูแล และผู้รับใช้
1Paul and Timotheus, the servants of Jesus Christ, to all the saints in Christ Jesus which are at Philippi, with the bishops and deacons:
2ขอพระคุณและสันติสุขมีแก่พวกคุณ จากพระเจ้าพระบิดาของเรา และพระเยซูคริสต์องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า
2Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
3ข้าพเจ้าขอบคุณพระเจ้าของข้าพเจ้า ทุกครั้งที่ระลึกถึงพวกคุณ
3I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,
4ทุกครั้งที่ข้าพเจ้าอธิษฐานเพื่อพวกคุณทุกคน ข้าพเจ้าก็ทำเช่นนั้นด้วยความยินดีเสมอ
4Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy,
5เพราะพวกคุณมีส่วนร่วม ในการทำให้ข่าวดีก้าวหน้า ตั้งแต่วันแรกจนถึงบัดนี้
5For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now;
6ข้าพเจ้ามั่นใจอย่างยิ่งว่า พระองค์ผู้เริ่มงานดีในพวกคุณ จะทำงานนั้นให้สำเร็จจนถึงวันของพระเยซูคริสต์
6Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
7ที่ข้าพเจ้าคิดเช่นนี้เกี่ยวกับพวกคุณทุกคน ก็สมควรแล้ว เพราะข้าพเจ้ามีพวกคุณอยู่ในหัวใจ พวกคุณทุกคนมีส่วนร่วมในพระคุณกับข้าพเจ้า ทั้งยามที่ข้าพเจ้าถูกล่ามโซ่ และเมื่อข้าพเจ้าปกป้องและยืนยันข่าวดี
7Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart; inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are partakers of my grace.
8พระเจ้าเป็นพยานของข้าพเจ้าว่า ข้าพเจ้าคิดถึงพวกคุณทุกคนมากเพียงใด ด้วยความรักเอ็นดูอย่างลึกซึ้งของพระคริสต์เยซู
8For God is my record, how greatly I long after you all in the bowels of Jesus Christ.
9ข้าพเจ้าอธิษฐานขอให้ความรักของพวกคุณเพิ่มพูนยิ่งขึ้นเรื่อย ๆ พร้อมกับความรู้และความสามารถในการแยกแยะทุกอย่าง
9And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment;
10เพื่อพวกคุณจะพิจารณาแยกแยะสิ่งที่ดีเยี่ยมได้ และจะจริงใจไร้สิ่งสะดุด จนถึงวันของพระคริสต์
10That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ;
11ทั้งเต็มไปด้วยผลแห่งความชอบธรรม ซึ่งเกิดขึ้นโดยพระเยซูคริสต์ เพื่อพระสิริและคำสรรเสริญของพระเจ้า
11Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.
12พี่น้อง ข้าพเจ้าอยากให้พวกคุณรู้ว่า สิ่งที่เกิดขึ้นกับข้าพเจ้า กลับช่วยให้ข่าวดีก้าวหน้ามากขึ้น
12But I would ye should understand, brethren, that the things which happened unto me have fallen out rather unto the furtherance of the gospel;
13จนเป็นที่รู้กันทั่วกองทหารประจำวัง และคนอื่น ๆ ทั้งหมดว่า ที่ข้าพเจ้าถูกล่ามโซ่นั้นเป็นเพราะพระคริสต์
13So that my bonds in Christ are manifest in all the palace, and in all other places ;
14และพี่น้องส่วนใหญ่ในองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า ก็มั่นใจมากขึ้นเพราะการถูกล่ามโซ่ของข้าพเจ้า จึงกล้ากล่าวถ้อยคำของพระเจ้าโดยไม่กลัวยิ่งกว่าเดิม
14And many of the brethren in the Lord, waxing confident by my bonds, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.
15บางคนประกาศพระคริสต์เพราะอิจฉาและชิงดีชิงเด่น ส่วนบางคนประกาศด้วยเจตนาดี
15Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will:
16พวกแรกประกาศพระคริสต์อย่างไม่จริงใจ เพราะชิงดีชิงเด่น โดยคิดว่าจะเพิ่มความทุกข์ให้ข้าพเจ้าขณะถูกล่ามโซ่
16The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds:
17ส่วนพวกหลังประกาศด้วยความรัก เพราะรู้ว่าข้าพเจ้าถูกกำหนดให้ปกป้องข่าวดี
17But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel.
18แล้วอย่างไรเล่า? ไม่ว่าจะด้วยการเสแสร้งหรือด้วยความจริง อย่างน้อยพระคริสต์ก็ได้รับการประกาศในทุกทาง ข้าพเจ้าจึงชื่นชมยินดีในเรื่องนี้ และจะชื่นชมยินดีต่อไป
18What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice.
19ข้าพเจ้ารู้ว่า สิ่งนี้จะนำไปสู่ความรอดของข้าพเจ้า โดยคำอธิษฐานของพวกคุณ และการเกื้อหนุนจากพระวิญญาณของพระเยซูคริสต์
19For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,
20ข้าพเจ้ามุ่งหวังอย่างแรงกล้าและมีความหวังว่า ข้าพเจ้าจะไม่ผิดหวังในเรื่องใดเลย แต่จะมีความกล้าอย่างเต็มที่ดังที่เป็นมาเสมอ เพื่อว่าบัดนี้พระคริสต์จะได้รับการยกย่องในร่างกายของข้าพเจ้า ไม่ว่าข้าพเจ้าจะมีชีวิตอยู่หรือตาย
20According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death.
21สำหรับข้าพเจ้า การมีชีวิตอยู่คือพระคริสต์ และการตายคือกำไร
21For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
22แต่ถ้าข้าพเจ้ายังมีชีวิตอยู่ในร่างกายนี้ ก็จะเป็นโอกาสให้งานของข้าพเจ้าเกิดผล แต่ถึงกระนั้น ข้าพเจ้าก็ไม่รู้ว่าจะเลือกอะไร
22But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not.
23ข้าพเจ้าถูกบีบอยู่ระหว่างสองทาง ข้าพเจ้าอยากจากไปและอยู่กับพระคริสต์ ซึ่งดียิ่งกว่ามาก
23For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:
24แต่การอยู่ต่อในร่างกายนี้จำเป็นยิ่งกว่าสำหรับพวกคุณ
24Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you.
25เมื่อมั่นใจเช่นนี้ ข้าพเจ้าก็รู้ว่าจะอยู่ต่อ และจะอยู่กับพวกคุณทุกคน เพื่อให้พวกคุณก้าวหน้าและมีความยินดีในความเชื่อ
25And having this confidence, I know that I shall abide and continue with you all for your furtherance and joy of faith;
26เพื่อเมื่อข้าพเจ้ากลับมาอยู่กับพวกคุณอีก พวกคุณจะมีเหตุอวด ในพระคริสต์เยซูเกี่ยวกับข้าพเจ้ามากยิ่งขึ้น
26That your rejoicing may be more abundant in Jesus Christ for me by my coming to you again.
27สิ่งสำคัญคือ จงดำเนินชีวิตให้สมกับข่าวดีของพระคริสต์ เพื่อว่าไม่ว่าข้าพเจ้าจะมาเห็นพวกคุณ หรือไม่ได้อยู่ด้วย ข้าพเจ้าจะได้ยินว่าพวกคุณยืนหยัดมั่นคงในจิตวิญญาณเดียวกัน และร่วมใจกันต่อสู้เพื่อความเชื่อแห่งข่าวดี
27Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;
28โดยไม่หวาดกลัวผู้ต่อต้านในเรื่องใดเลย เรื่องนี้เป็นหลักฐานแก่พวกเขาว่าจะพินาศ แต่เป็นหลักฐานแก่พวกคุณว่าจะได้รับความรอด และสิ่งนี้มาจากพระเจ้า
28And in nothing terrified by your adversaries: which is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that of God.
29เพราะสิ่งที่พวกคุณได้รับเพื่อพระคริสต์นั้นเป็นของประทาน คือไม่ใช่เพียงได้เชื่อในพระองค์ แต่ยังได้ทนทุกข์เพื่อพระองค์ด้วย
29For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake;
30พวกคุณกำลังเผชิญการต่อสู้แบบเดียวกับที่เคยเห็นในข้าพเจ้า และบัดนี้ก็ได้ยินว่าข้าพเจ้ายังเผชิญอยู่
30Having the same conflict which ye saw in me, and now hear to be in me.
