1เปาโล ผู้ถูกจองจำเพราะพระคริสต์ เยซู และทิโมธีพี่น้องของเรา ถึงฟิเลโมน เพื่อนร่วมงานที่รักของเรา
1Paul, a prisoner of Jesus Christ, and Timothy our brother, unto Philemon our dearly beloved, and fellowlabourer,
2ถึงอัปเฟียที่รัก อารคิปปัสเพื่อนทหารร่วมรบของเรา และประชาคมในบ้านของคุณ
2And to our beloved Apphia, and Archippus our fellowsoldier, and to the church in thy house:
3ขอให้พวกคุณได้รับพระคุณและสันติสุขจากพระเจ้าพระบิดาของเรา และจากองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าพระเยซูคริสต์
3Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
4ข้าพเจ้าขอบคุณพระเจ้าของข้าพเจ้าเสมอ และเอ่ยถึงคุณในคำอธิษฐานของข้าพเจ้า
4I thank my God, making mention of thee always in my prayers,
5เพราะข้าพเจ้าได้ยินถึงความรักของคุณ และความเชื่อที่คุณมีต่อองค์พระเยซู และต่อผู้บริสุทธิ์ทุกคน
5Hearing of thy love and faith, which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints;
6ข้าพเจ้าอธิษฐานให้การมีส่วนร่วมในความเชื่อของคุณเกิดผล ด้วยการรู้จักสิ่งดีทุกอย่างที่มีอยู่ในพวกเราในพระคริสต์เยซู
6That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.
7พี่น้อง ความรักของคุณทำให้พวกเรามีความยินดีและกำลังใจมาก เพราะคุณทำให้ใจของผู้บริสุทธิ์สดชื่นขึ้น
7For we have great joy and consolation in thy love, because the bowels of the saints are refreshed by thee, brother.
8เพราะฉะนั้น แม้ข้าพเจ้ามีความกล้าอย่างเต็มที่ในพระคริสต์ที่จะสั่งให้คุณทำสิ่งที่ควรทำ
8Wherefore, though I might be much bold in Christ to enjoin thee that which is convenient,
9แต่เพราะความรัก ข้าพเจ้าจึงเลือกที่จะขอร้องคุณมากกว่า ข้าพเจ้าคือเปาโล ผู้สูงวัยแล้ว และตอนนี้ยังเป็นผู้ถูกจองจำเพราะพระเยซูคริสต์ด้วย
9Yet for love’s sake I rather beseech thee , being such an one as Paul the aged, and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ.
10ข้าพเจ้าขอร้องคุณเรื่องโอเนสิมัส ลูกของข้าพเจ้า ซึ่งข้าพเจ้าได้เป็นพ่อให้เขาขณะที่ข้าพเจ้าถูกล่ามโซ่
10I beseech thee for my son Onesimus, whom I have begotten in my bonds:
11เมื่อก่อนเขาไม่มีประโยชน์ต่อคุณ แต่ตอนนี้เขามีประโยชน์ทั้งต่อคุณและต่อข้าพเจ้า
11Which in time past was to thee unprofitable, but now profitable to thee and to me:
12ข้าพเจ้ากำลังส่งเขากลับไปหาคุณ เพราะฉะนั้น ขอให้คุณรับเขาไว้ เขาก็คือหัวใจของข้าพเจ้าเอง
12Whom I have sent again: thou therefore receive him, that is, mine own bowels:
13ข้าพเจ้าอยากเก็บเขาไว้กับข้าพเจ้า เพื่อเขาจะได้รับใช้ข้าพเจ้าแทนคุณ ขณะที่ข้าพเจ้าถูกล่ามโซ่เพราะข่าวดี
13Whom I would have retained with me, that in thy stead he might have ministered unto me in the bonds of the gospel:
14แต่ข้าพเจ้าไม่ต้องการทำอะไรโดยไม่ได้รับความยินยอมจากคุณ เพื่อให้การทำดีของคุณไม่เกิดจากความจำเป็น แต่เกิดจากความสมัครใจ
14But without thy mind would I do nothing; that thy benefit should not be as it were of necessity, but willingly.
15บางทีเขาจึงถูกแยกจากคุณไปชั่วระยะหนึ่ง ก็เพื่อคุณจะได้มีเขาอยู่กับคุณตลอดไป
15For perhaps he therefore departed for a season, that thou shouldest receive him for ever;
16ไม่ใช่ในฐานะทาสอีกต่อไป แต่ยิ่งกว่าทาส คือเป็นพี่น้องที่รัก เขาเป็นที่รักของข้าพเจ้าอย่างยิ่ง และสำหรับคุณยิ่งกว่านั้น ทั้งในความสัมพันธ์ทางมนุษย์และในองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า
16Not now as a servant, but above a servant, a brother beloved, specially to me, but how much more unto thee, both in the flesh, and in the Lord?
17ดังนั้น ถ้าคุณนับว่าข้าพเจ้ามีส่วนร่วมกับคุณ ก็ขอให้คุณรับเขาไว้เหมือนที่คุณจะรับข้าพเจ้า
17If thou count me therefore a partner, receive him as myself.
18แต่ถ้าเขาทำผิดต่อคุณในเรื่องใด หรือเป็นหนี้คุณอยู่เท่าไร ก็ให้ลงสิ่งนั้นไว้ในบัญชีของข้าพเจ้า
18If he hath wronged thee, or oweth thee ought, put that on mine account;
19ข้าพเจ้า เปาโล เขียนด้วยมือของข้าพเจ้าเองว่า ข้าพเจ้าจะชดใช้ให้ (ไม่ต้องพูดถึงเลยว่า คุณเองก็เป็นหนี้ข้าพเจ้าแม้กระทั่งตัวคุณเอง)
19I Paul have written it with mine own hand, I will repay it : albeit I do not say to thee how thou owest unto me even thine own self besides.
20ใช่แล้ว พี่น้อง ขอให้ข้าพเจ้าได้รับความชื่นใจจากคุณในองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า ช่วยทำให้ใจของข้าพเจ้าสดชื่นขึ้นในองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า
20Yea, brother, let me have joy of thee in the Lord: refresh my bowels in the Lord.
21ข้าพเจ้าเขียนถึงคุณ เพราะมั่นใจว่าคุณจะเชื่อฟัง และรู้ว่าคุณจะทำยิ่งกว่าสิ่งที่ข้าพเจ้าพูดเสียอีก
21Having confidence in thy obedience I wrote unto thee, knowing that thou wilt also do more than I say.
22อีกอย่างหนึ่ง ช่วยเตรียมห้องพักสำหรับแขกให้ข้าพเจ้าด้วย เพราะข้าพเจ้าหวังว่าโดยคำอธิษฐานของพวกคุณ ข้าพเจ้าจะได้กลับไปหาพวกคุณอีก
22But withal prepare me also a lodging: for I trust that through your prayers I shall be given unto you.
23เอปาฟรัส เพื่อนผู้ถูกจองจำกับข้าพเจ้าในพระคริสต์เยซู ฝากคำทักทายถึงคุณ
23There salute thee Epaphras, my fellowprisoner in Christ Jesus;
24มาระโก อาริสทารคัส เดมาส และลูกา ซึ่งเป็นเพื่อนร่วมงานของข้าพเจ้า ก็ฝากคำทักทายถึงคุณเช่นกัน
24Marcus, Aristarchus, Demas, Lucas, my fellowlabourers.
25ขอพระคุณขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าพระเยซูคริสต์อยู่กับวิญญาณของพวกคุณ อาเมน
25The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.
