1なぜ国々は激しく怒り、 人々はむなしいことを企むのか。
1Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
2地の王たちは立ち上がり、 支配者たちは共に協議して、 主と、その油注がれた者に逆らって言う、
2The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD , and against his anointed, saying ,
3「彼らの束縛を断ち切り、 彼らの縄を私たちから投げ捨てよう」と。
3Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
4天の座に着いておられる方は笑われる。 主 は彼らをあざけられる。
4He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
5その後、主は怒りをもって彼らに語り、 激しい怒りをもって彼らを恐れさせる。
5Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.
6「しかし、私は私の聖なる山シオンに、私の王を立てた。」
6Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.
7私は定めについて告げよう。 主は私に言われた。「あなたは私の子。 今日、私はあなたの父となった。
7I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.
8私に求めよ。そうすれば、私は国々をあなたの相続地として与え、 地の果てまでをあなたの所有として与える。
8Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
9あなたは鉄の杖で彼らを打ち砕き、 陶器師の器のように彼らを粉々に砕く。」
9Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.
10それゆえ今、王たちよ、賢くあれ。 地の裁き司たちよ、教訓を受けよ。
10Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.
11恐れをもって主に仕え、 おののきをもって喜べ。
11Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
12子に口づけせよ。 彼が怒り、あなたがたが道で滅びないために。 主の激しい怒りはすぐに燃え上がるからである。 主に避け所を求めるすべての者は幸いである。
12Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.
