1เมื่อสร้างกำแพงแล้ว ข้าพเจ้าติดตั้งบานประตู และแต่งตั้งคนเฝ้าประตู นักร้อง และชาวเลวี
1Now it came to pass, when the wall was built, and I had set up the doors, and the porters and the singers and the Levites were appointed,
2ข้าพเจ้ามอบหมายให้ฮานานี พี่น้องคนหนึ่งของข้าพเจ้า กับฮานันยาห์ ผู้ปกครองป้อม ดูแลเยรูซาเล็ม เพราะฮานันยาห์เป็นคนซื่อสัตย์และเกรงกลัวพระเจ้ามากกว่าคนจำนวนมาก
2That I gave my brother Hanani, and Hananiah the ruler of the palace, charge over Jerusalem: for he was a faithful man, and feared God above many.
3ข้าพเจ้าบอกพวกเขาว่า “อย่าเปิดประตูเยรูซาเล็มจนกว่าแดดจะร้อน ขณะยามยังเฝ้าอยู่ ให้พวกเขาปิดบานประตู แล้วพวกคุณลงดาลไว้ จัดชาวเยรูซาเล็มให้ผลัดกันเฝ้ายาม แต่ละคนเฝ้าประจำจุดของตนและใกล้บ้านของตน”
3And I said unto them, Let not the gates of Jerusalem be opened until the sun be hot; and while they stand by, let them shut the doors, and bar them: and appoint watches of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, every one in his watch, and every one to be over against his house.

4Now the city was large and great: but the people were few therein, and the houses were not builded.
5พระเจ้าของข้าพเจ้าดลใจให้รวบรวมชนชั้นสูง ผู้ปกครอง และประชาชนมาลงทะเบียนตามลำดับตระกูล ข้าพเจ้าพบหนังสือลำดับตระกูลของคนที่กลับมาครั้งแรก ในนั้นเขียนไว้ดังนี้
5¶ And my God put into mine heart to gather together the nobles, and the rulers, and the people, that they might be reckoned by genealogy. And I found a register of the genealogy of them which came up at the first, and found written therein,
6คนเหล่านี้เป็นชาวแคว้นที่กลับมาจากการเป็นเชลย พวกเขาเคยถูกเนบูคัดเนสซาร์ กษัตริย์บาบิโลน กวาดต้อนไป และกลับมายังเยรูซาเล็มกับยูดาห์ ต่างกลับไปเมืองของตน
6These are the children of the province, that went up out of the captivity, of those that had been carried away, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away, and came again to Jerusalem and to Judah, every one unto his city;

7Who came with Zerubbabel, Jeshua, Nehemiah, Azariah, Raamiah, Nahamani, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispereth, Bigvai, Nehum, Baanah. The number, I say , of the men of the people of Israel was this;
8ลูกหลานปาโรช สองพันหนึ่งร้อยเจ็ดสิบสองคน
8The children of Parosh, two thousand an hundred seventy and two.
9ลูกหลานเชฟาทิยาห์ สามร้อยเจ็ดสิบสองคน
9The children of Shephatiah, three hundred seventy and two.
10ลูกหลานอาราห์ หกร้อยห้าสิบสองคน
10The children of Arah, six hundred fifty and two.
11ลูกหลานปาหัทโมอับ ในสายเยชูอาและโยอาบ สองพันแปดร้อยสิบแปดคน
11The children of Pahath-moab, of the children of Jeshua and Joab, two thousand and eight hundred and eighteen.
12ลูกหลานเอลาม หนึ่งพันสองร้อยห้าสิบสี่คน
12The children of Elam, a thousand two hundred fifty and four.
13ลูกหลานศัททู แปดร้อยสี่สิบห้าคน

14The children of Zaccai, seven hundred and threescore.

26The men of Beth-lehem and Netophah, an hundred fourscore and eight.

29The men of Kirjath-jearim, Chephirah, and Beeroth, seven hundred forty and three.

39¶ The priests: the children of Jedaiah, of the house of Jeshua, nine hundred seventy and three.
40ลูกหลานอิมเมอร์ หนึ่งพันห้าสิบสองคน
40The children of Immer, a thousand fifty and two.
41ลูกหลานปาชเฮอร์ หนึ่งพันสองร้อยสี่สิบเจ็ดคน
41The children of Pashur, a thousand two hundred forty and seven.
42ลูกหลานฮาริม หนึ่งพันสิบเจ็ดคน
42The children of Harim, a thousand and seventeen.
43ชาวเลวี ได้แก่ ลูกหลานเยชูอาและคัดมีเอล ในสายโฮเดวาห์ เจ็ดสิบสี่คน
43¶ The Levites: the children of Jeshua, of Kadmiel, and of the children of Hodevah, seventy and four.
44นักร้อง ได้แก่ ลูกหลานอาสาฟ หนึ่งร้อยสี่สิบแปดคน
44¶ The singers: the children of Asaph, an hundred forty and eight.
45คนเฝ้าประตู ได้แก่ ลูกหลานชัลลูม อาเทอร์ ทัลโมน อักคูบ ฮาทิทา และโชบัย รวมหนึ่งร้อยสามสิบแปดคน
45¶ The porters: the children of Shallum, the children of Ater, the children of Talmon, the children of Akkub, the children of Hatita, the children of Shobai, an hundred thirty and eight.
46ผู้รับใช้ประจำพระวิหาร ได้แก่ ลูกหลานศีฮา ลูกหลานฮาสูฟา ลูกหลานทับบาโอท
46¶ The Nethinims: the children of Ziha, the children of Hashupha, the children of Tabbaoth,
47ลูกหลานเคโรส ลูกหลานสีอา ลูกหลานปาโดน
47The children of Keros, the children of Sia, the children of Padon,
48ลูกหลานเลบานา ลูกหลานฮากาบา ลูกหลานสัลมัย
48The children of Lebana, the children of Hagaba, the children of Shalmai,
49ลูกหลานฮานัน ลูกหลานกิดเดล ลูกหลานกาฮาร์
49The children of Hanan, the children of Giddel, the children of Gahar,
50ลูกหลานเรอายาห์ ลูกหลานเรซิน ลูกหลานเนโคดา
50The children of Reaiah, the children of Rezin, the children of Nekoda,

53The children of Bakbuk, the children of Hakupha, the children of Harhur,
54ลูกหลานบัสลิท ลูกหลานเมฮิดา ลูกหลานฮาร์ชา
54The children of Bazlith, the children of Mehida, the children of Harsha,

55The children of Barkos, the children of Sisera, the children of Tamah,

56The children of Neziah, the children of Hatipha.

57¶ The children of Solomon’s servants: the children of Sotai, the children of Sophereth, the children of Perida,
58ลูกหลานยาอาลา ลูกหลานดารโคน ลูกหลานกิดเดล
58The children of Jaala, the children of Darkon, the children of Giddel,
59ลูกหลานเชฟาทิยาห์ ลูกหลานฮัททิล ลูกหลานโพเคเรทฮัสเซบาอิม และลูกหลานอาโมน
59The children of Shephatiah, the children of Hattil, the children of Pochereth of Zebaim, the children of Amon.
60ผู้รับใช้ประจำพระวิหารและลูกหลานผู้รับใช้ของซาโลมอนรวมทั้งหมดสามร้อยเก้าสิบสองคน
60All the Nethinims, and the children of Solomon’s servants, were three hundred ninety and two.
61คนต่อไปนี้กลับมาจากเทลเมลาห์ เทลฮาร์ชา เครูบ อัดโดน และอิมเมอร์ แต่พวกเขาแสดงหลักฐานไม่ได้ว่า ตระกูลฝ่ายบิดาและเชื้อสายของตนเป็นชาวอิสราเอลหรือไม่
61And these were they which went up also from Tel-melah, Tel-haresha, Cherub, Addon, and Immer: but they could not shew their father’s house, nor their seed, whether they were of Israel.

62The children of Delaiah, the children of Tobiah, the children of Nekoda, six hundred forty and two.
63ส่วนปุโรหิต ได้แก่ ลูกหลานโฮบายาห์ ลูกหลานฮักโขส และลูกหลานบารซิลลัย บารซิลลัยผู้นี้แต่งงานกับบุตรสาวคนหนึ่งของบารซิลลัย ชาวกิเลอาด และเรียกชื่อตามตระกูลของภรรยา
63¶ And of the priests: the children of Habaiah, the children of Koz, the children of Barzillai, which took one of the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite to wife, and was called after their name.
64คนเหล่านี้ค้นหาบันทึกลำดับตระกูลของตน แต่หาไม่พบ จึงถูกถือว่าขาดคุณสมบัติและให้ออกจากตำแหน่งปุโรหิต
64These sought their register among those that were reckoned by genealogy, but it was not found: therefore were they, as polluted, put from the priesthood.

65And the Tirshatha said unto them, that they should not eat of the most holy things, till there stood up a priest with Urim and Thummim.

66¶ The whole congregation together was forty and two thousand three hundred and threescore,

67Beside their manservants and their maidservants, of whom there were seven thousand three hundred thirty and seven: and they had two hundred forty and five singing men and singing women.
68มีม้าเจ็ดร้อยสามสิบหกตัว ล่อสองร้อยสี่สิบห้าตัว
68Their horses, seven hundred thirty and six: their mules, two hundred forty and five:
69อูฐสี่ร้อยสามสิบห้าตัว และลาหกพันเจ็ดร้อยยี่สิบตัว
69Their camels, four hundred thirty and five: six thousand seven hundred and twenty asses.
70หัวหน้าตระกูลฝ่ายบิดาบางคนบริจาคเพื่องานนี้ ผู้ว่าราชการมอบทองคำหนึ่งพันดาริก อ่างห้าสิบใบ และเสื้อปุโรหิตห้าร้อยสามสิบตัว แก่คลัง
70¶ And some of the chief of the fathers gave unto the work. The Tirshatha gave to the treasure a thousand drams of gold, fifty basons, five hundred and thirty priests’ garments.
71หัวหน้าตระกูลฝ่ายบิดาบางคนมอบทองคำสองหมื่นดาริกและเงินสองพันสองร้อยมินา เข้าคลังสำหรับงานนี้
71And some of the chief of the fathers gave to the treasure of the work twenty thousand drams of gold, and two thousand and two hundred pound of silver.
72ประชาชนที่เหลือมอบทองคำสองหมื่นดาริก เงินสองพันมินา และเสื้อปุโรหิตหกสิบเจ็ดตัว
72And that which the rest of the people gave was twenty thousand drams of gold, and two thousand pound of silver, and threescore and seven priests’ garments.
73ปุโรหิต ชาวเลวี คนเฝ้าประตู นักร้อง ประชาชนบางส่วน ผู้รับใช้ประจำพระวิหาร และชาวอิสราเอลทั้งหมด จึงอาศัยอยู่ในเมืองของตน เมื่อถึงเดือนที่เจ็ด ชาวอิสราเอลก็อยู่ในเมืองของตนแล้ว
73So the priests, and the Levites, and the porters, and the singers, and some of the people, and the Nethinims, and all Israel, dwelt in their cities; and when the seventh month came, the children of Israel were in their cities.
