1Of the children of Ammon. Thus saith the LORD: Hath Israel no sons? Hath he no heir? Why then doth Malcam take possession of Gad, and his people dwell in the cities thereof?
1เกี่ยวกับชาวอัมโมน พระยาห์เวห์กล่าวดังนี้ “อิสราเอลไม่มีลูกชายหรือ? เขาไม่มีผู้รับมรดกหรือ? ถ้าอย่างนั้นทำไมมัลคัมจึงครอบครองกาด และประชาชนของเขาอาศัยในเมืองเหล่านั้น?
2Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will cause an alarm of war to be heard against Rabbah of the children of Ammon; and it shall become a desolate mound, and her daughters shall be burned with fire; then shall Israel dispossess them that did dispossess him, saith the LORD.

3Wail, O Heshbon, for Ai is undone; cry, ye daughters of Rabbah, gird you with sackcloth; lament, and run to and fro among the folds; for Malcam shall go into captivity, his priests and his princes together.
3“เฮชโบน จงคร่ำครวญ เพราะอัยถูกทำลาย! ธิดาทั้งหลายแห่งรับบาห์ จงร้องไห้! สวมผ้ากระสอบ คร่ำครวญและวิ่งไปมาระหว่างรั้ว เพราะมัลคัมจะไปเป็นเชลย พร้อมกับปุโรหิตและขุนนางของเขา
4Wherefore gloriest thou in the valleys, thy flowing valley, O backsliding daughter? that didst trust in thy treasures: 'Who shall come unto me?'

5Behold, I will bring a terror upon thee, saith the Lord GOD of hosts, from all that are round about thee; and ye shall be driven out every man right forth, and there shall be none to gather up him that wandereth.

6But afterward I will bring back the captivity of the children of Ammon, saith the LORD.
6“แต่หลังจากนั้นเราจะฟื้นฟูชาวอัมโมนจากการเป็นเชลย” พระยาห์เวห์กล่าว
7Of Edom. Thus saith the LORD of hosts: Is wisdom no more in Teman? Is counsel perished from the prudent? Is their wisdom vanished?
7เกี่ยวกับเอโดม พระยาห์เวห์แห่งกองทัพกล่าวดังนี้ “ปัญญาไม่มีในเทมานอีกแล้วหรือ? แผนการหมดไปจากคนรอบคอบแล้วหรือ? ปัญญาของพวกเขาหายไปแล้วหรือ?
8Flee ye, turn back, dwell deep, O inhabitants of Dedan; For I do bring the calamity of Esau upon him, the time that I shall punish him.
8จงหนี! หันกลับ! ผู้อาศัยในเดดาน จงอยู่ในที่ลึก เพราะเราจะนำหายนะของเอซาวมาสู่เขา เมื่อเรามาลงโทษเขา
9If grape-gatherers came to thee, would they not leave some gleaning grapes? if thieves by night, would they not destroy till they had enough?
9หากคนเก็บองุ่นมาหาเจ้า พวกเขาจะไม่เหลือองุ่นให้เก็บตกบ้างหรือ? หากขโมยมาตอนกลางคืน พวกเขาจะไม่ขโมยแค่พอใจหรือ?
10But I have made Esau bare, I have uncovered his secret places, and he shall not be able to hide himself; his seed is spoiled, and his brethren, and his neighbours, and he is not.

11Leave thy fatherless children, I will rear them, and let thy widows trust in Me.
11จงทิ้งลูกกำพร้าพ่อของเจ้าไว้ เราจะรักษาชีวิตพวกเขา ให้หญิงม่ายของเจ้าไว้วางใจเรา”
12For thus saith the LORD: Behold, they to whom it pertained not to drink of the cup shall assuredly drink; and art thou he that shall altogether go unpunished? thou shalt not go unpunished, but thou shalt surely drink.
12เพราะพระยาห์เวห์กล่าวว่า “จงฟัง คนที่ไม่ควรต้องดื่มจากถ้วยก็ยังต้องดื่มแน่ แล้วเจ้าจะเป็นคนที่พ้นโทษทั้งหมดหรือ? เจ้าจะไม่พ้นโทษ แต่ต้องดื่มแน่
13For I have sworn by Myself, saith the LORD, that Bozrah shall become an astonishment, a reproach, a waste, and a curse; and all the cities thereof shall be perpetual wastes.
13เพราะเราสาบานด้วยตัวเราเองแล้ว” พระยาห์เวห์กล่าว “ว่าโบสราห์จะเป็นที่น่าตกตะลึง เป็นที่ดูหมิ่น รกร้าง และเป็นคำสาปแช่ง ทุกเมืองของโบสราห์จะรกร้างตลอดไป”
14I have heard a message from the LORD, and an ambassador is sent among the nations: 'Gather yourselves together, and come against her, and rise up to the battle.'
14ข้าพเจ้าได้ยินข่าวจากพระยาห์เวห์ ทูตถูกส่งไปท่ามกลางชนชาติทั้งหลาย บอกว่า “จงรวมตัวกัน! มาต่อสู้กับเธอ! ลุกขึ้นรบ!”
15For, behold, I make thee small among the nations, and despised among men.
15“เพราะดูเถิด เราทำให้เจ้าต่ำต้อยในหมู่ชนชาติทั้งหลาย เป็นที่ดูหมิ่นในหมู่มนุษย์
16Thy terribleness hath deceived thee, even the pride of thy heart, O thou that dwellest in the clefts of the rock, that holdest the height of the hill; though thou shouldest make thy nest as high as the eagle, I will bring thee down from thence, saith the LORD.
16ส่วนความน่าสะพรึงกลัวของเจ้านั้น ความหยิ่งในใจของเจ้าหลอกเจ้าแล้ว เจ้าผู้อาศัยอยู่ในซอกหิน ผู้ครองยอดเนิน แม้เจ้าทำรังสูงเหมือนนกอินทรี เราจะนำเจ้าลงมาจากที่นั่น” พระยาห์เวห์กล่าว
17And Edom shall become an astonishment; every one that passeth by it shall be astonished and shall hiss at all the plagues thereof.
17“เอโดมจะเป็นที่น่าตกตะลึง ทุกคนที่ผ่านไปจะตกตะลึง และส่งเสียงเย้ยหยันต่อภัยพิบัติทั้งหมดของเอโดม
18As in the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighbour cities thereof, saith the LORD, no man shall abide there, neither shall any son of man dwell therein.
18เหมือนเมื่อโสโดม โกโมราห์ และเมืองข้างเคียงถูกโค่นลง” พระยาห์เวห์กล่าว “จะไม่มีใครอาศัยอยู่ที่นั่น จะไม่มีมนุษย์คนใดอยู่ในนั้น
19Behold, he shall come up like a lion from the thickets of the Jordan against the strong habitation; for I will suddenly make him run away from it, and whoso is chosen, him will I appoint over it; for who is like Me? and who will appoint Me a time? and who is that shepherd that will stand before Me?
19“ดูเถิด เขาจะขึ้นมาเหมือนสิงโตจากพุ่มไม้รกทึบริมจอร์แดน ต่อสู้กับที่อยู่อันมั่นคง เพราะเราจะทำให้พวกเขาวิ่งหนีจากที่นั่นทันที ใครก็ตามที่ถูกเลือก เราจะตั้งเขาให้ปกครองที่นั่น เพราะใครเหมือนเรา? ใครจะกำหนดเวลาให้เรา? ผู้เลี้ยงแกะคนไหนจะยืนต่อหน้าเราได้?”
20Therefore hear ye the counsel of the LORD, that He hath taken against Edom; and His purposes, that He hath purposed against the inhabitants of Teman: Surely the least of the flock shall drag them away, surely their habitation shall be appalled at them.
20ดังนั้นจงฟังแผนการของพระยาห์เวห์ที่พระองค์วางไว้ต่อเอโดม และสิ่งที่พระองค์ตั้งใจทำต่อผู้คนที่อาศัยอยู่ในเทมาน พวกเขาจะลากไปแน่ แม้แต่ตัวเล็ก ๆ ในฝูง พระองค์จะทำให้ที่อยู่ของพวกเขารกร้างลงเหนือพวกเขาอย่างแน่นอน
21The earth quaketh at the noise of their fall; there is a cry, the noise whereof is heard in the Red Sea.
21แผ่นดินสั่นเมื่อได้ยินเสียงพวกเขาล้ม มีเสียงร้อง ได้ยินไปถึงทะเลแดง
22Behold, he shall come up and swoop down as the vulture, and spread out his wings against Bozrah; and the heart of the mighty men of Edom at that day shall be as the heart of a woman in her pangs.
22ดูเถิด เขาจะขึ้นมา บินเหมือนนกอินทรี กางปีกต่อสู้กับโบสราห์ ในวันนั้น ใจของนักรบผู้เก่งกล้าแห่งเอโดมจะเป็นเหมือนใจหญิงที่เจ็บท้องคลอด
23Of Damascus. Hamath is ashamed, and Arpad; for they have heard evil tidings, they are melted away; there is trouble in the sea; it cannot be quiet.
23เกี่ยวกับดามัสกัส “ฮามัทและอาร์ปัดสับสน เพราะได้ยินข่าวร้าย พวกเขาละลายไป มีความเศร้าอยู่บนทะเล ไม่อาจสงบได้
24Damascus is waxed feeble, she turneth herself to flee, and trembling hath seized on her; anguish and pangs have taken hold of her, as of a woman in travail.
24ดามัสกัสอ่อนแรง เธอหันหนี ความสั่นสะท้านจับเธอไว้ ความปวดร้าวและความเศร้าเข้าจับเธอ เหมือนหญิงกำลังคลอดลูก
25'How is the city of praise left unrepaired, the city of my joy?'
25เมืองที่ได้รับคำสรรเสริญยังไม่ถูกทอดทิ้งได้อย่างไร เมืองที่เรายินดี?
26Therefore her young men shall fall in her broad places, and all the men of war shall be brought to silence in that day, saith the LORD of hosts.
26ดังนั้นชายหนุ่มของเธอจะล้มลงตามถนน นักรบทั้งหมดจะถูกทำให้เงียบในวันนั้น” พระยาห์เวห์แห่งกองทัพกล่าว
27And I will kindle a fire in the wall of Damascus, and it shall devour the palaces of Ben-hadad.
27“เราจะจุดไฟในกำแพงดามัสกัส ไฟจะเผาผลาญวังของเบนฮาดัด”
28Of Kedar, and of the kingdoms of Hazor, which Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon smote. Thus saith the LORD: Arise ye, go up against Kedar, and spoil the children of the east.
28เกี่ยวกับเคดาร์และอาณาจักรต่าง ๆ ของฮาโซร์ ที่เนบูคัดเนสซาร์ กษัตริย์บาบิโลน ตี พระยาห์เวห์กล่าวดังนี้ “ลุกขึ้น ยกไปเคดาร์ ทำลายชาวตะวันออก
29Their tents and their flocks shall they take, they shall carry away for themselves their curtains, and all their vessels, and their camels; and they shall proclaim against them a terror on every side.
29พวกเขาจะเอากระโจมและฝูงสัตว์ของคนเหล่านั้นไป จะขนม่านกระโจม ภาชนะทั้งหมดและอูฐไปเป็นของตน จะร้องใส่คนเหล่านั้นว่า ‘ความหวาดกลัวอยู่ทุกด้าน!’
30Flee ye, flit far off, dwell deep, O ye inhabitants of Hazor, saith the LORD; for Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon hath taken counsel against you, and hath conceived a purpose against you.
30จงหนี! เร่ร่อนไปไกล! ผู้อาศัยในฮาโซร์ จงอยู่ในที่ลึก” พระยาห์เวห์กล่าว “เพราะเนบูคัดเนสซาร์ กษัตริย์บาบิโลน วางแผนต่อพวกเจ้าแล้ว และคิดจะทำบางอย่างต่อพวกเจ้า
31Arise, get you up against a nation that is at ease, that dwelleth without care, saith the LORD; that have neither gates nor bars, that dwell alone.
31ลุกขึ้น! ยกไปหาชนชาติที่อยู่อย่างสบาย ที่อาศัยอยู่อย่างไร้กังวล” พระยาห์เวห์กล่าว “ที่ไม่มีทั้งประตูและดาล ที่อยู่ตามลำพัง
32And their camels shall be a booty, and the multitude of their cattle a spoil; and I will scatter unto all winds them that have the corners polled; and I will bring their calamity from every side of them, saith the LORD.
32อูฐของพวกเขาจะเป็นของที่ยึดมา ฝูงสัตว์มากมายจะเป็นของที่ปล้นมา เราจะกระจายผู้ที่ตัดมุมเคราของตนไปตามทิศลมทั้งปวง และนำหายนะมาสู่พวกเขาจากทุกด้าน” พระยาห์เวห์กล่าว
33And Hazor shall be a dwelling-place of jackals, a desolation for ever; no man shall abide there, neither shall any son of man dwell therein.
33ฮาโซร์จะเป็นที่อยู่ของหมาจิ้งจอก รกร้างตลอดไป จะไม่มีใครอาศัยอยู่ที่นั่น จะไม่มีมนุษย์คนใดอยู่ในนั้น”
34The word of the LORD that came to Jeremiah the prophet concerning Elam in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, saying:
34คำจากพระยาห์เวห์ที่มาถึงเยเรมีย์ผู้เผยพระวจนะเกี่ยวกับเอลาม ในช่วงต้นรัชกาลเศเดคียาห์ กษัตริย์ยูดาห์ว่า
35Thus saith the LORD of hosts: Behold, I will break the bow of Elam, the chief of their might.
35“พระยาห์เวห์แห่งกองทัพกล่าวดังนี้ ‘จงฟัง เราจะหักธนูของเอลาม สิ่งสำคัญที่สุดในกำลังของพวกเขา
36And I will bring against Elam the four winds from the four quarters of heaven, and will scatter them toward all those winds; and there shall be no nation whither the dispersed of Elam shall not come.
36เราจะนำลมทั้งสี่จากสี่ทิศของท้องฟ้ามาสู่เอลาม และกระจายพวกเขาไปตามลมเหล่านั้นทั้งหมด ผู้ถูกขับไล่จากเอลามจะไปถึงทุกชนชาติ
37And I will cause Elam to be dismayed before their enemies, and before them that seek their life; and I will bring evil upon them, even My fierce anger, saith the LORD; and I will send the sword after them, till I have consumed them;
37เราจะทำให้เอลามหวาดหวั่นต่อหน้าศัตรู และต่อหน้าผู้ที่มุ่งเอาชีวิตพวกเขา เราจะนำภัยร้ายมาสู่พวกเขา คือความโกรธเกรี้ยวของเรา’ พระยาห์เวห์กล่าว ‘เราจะส่งดาบไล่ตามพวกเขา จนกว่าเราจะทำลายพวกเขาหมด
38And I will set My throne in Elam, and will destroy from thence king and princes, saith the LORD.
38เราจะตั้งบัลลังก์ของเราในเอลาม และทำลายกษัตริย์กับขุนนางให้หมดไปจากที่นั่น’ พระยาห์เวห์กล่าว
39But it shall come to pass in the end of days, that I will bring back the captivity of Elam, saith the LORD.
39‘แต่ในวันเวลาภายหน้า เราจะฟื้นฟูเอลามจากการเป็นเชลย’ พระยาห์เวห์กล่าว”
